There are, but I'm assuming from a previous comment that he's a student at Michigan, with the whole "10,000 computers" post. Of course, you can always track the IP, correlate with logins and file a complaint against the user with the service provider (if he's full of shit and isn't a student/living off campus) or with the university (if he's a student/in the dorms). However, since he's technically done nothing more than being a dick, I'm not sure he's violating any Terms of Service that may have been signed. It's a pretty tenuous claim if you want to go for harassment.

Not sure if everyone would agree with this in principle, but I would be perfectly happy to see Brian bump your points to zero to do this if that -50 minimum is the best option. My posts may not be loved by everyone, and certainly my opinion does not mean more than anyone elses but anything to keep k03em01/Fifteenth/Nick Saban from posting.

-50 probably isn't low enough; I've seen single comments go lower than that.
I'd push it into triple digits. Maybe -100 or -200?

I understand what you're saying and perhaps -50 isn't a low enough posting ban threshold. I think that if people were aware that there was posting ban threshold they may be more inclined to not negbang if that poster is generally respected, such as yourself.

I appreciate the pos banging. I think everyone can have an off day and make a bad post and end up way in the negative. That being said I'd be okay with whatever Brian did to make sure k06em01(this is how I am going to refer to him since it was his original name)cant post anymore. I just wouldn't like seeing fellow mogusers screwed because of an errant post.

But there was some other poster who claimed to know the guy personally. If that is the case, I beg you, whoever you are, track em0 down and reason with him.
If reasoning doesn't work, destroy his computer.
If he has a second computer then cut the power line to his (parents') house.
If he has a generator, please kill him. I'm sure his parents would actually rather you do this than cut the power, so maybe just skip to this step.
