Have a GREAT day

was going to be the DAMN coach of Michigan.
I wonder how that would have worked out, anyway?

...and b*tching about how conservative and predictable our offense is. And we'd be pissed about our bend, don't break offense. Oh yeah, and we'd also be saying, "We need to just let Mallett air it out."

Mallett was looking for any excuse to leave and would have found one no matter who was coach. I can't remember his name, but there was a highly-rated QB recruit who decommitted when RR was announced who probably would have stayed and started as a true freshman in '08.

Both Rivals and Scout had Wienke rated as a 3* QB; Rivals had him the #14 pro-style QB and Scout had him the #21 QB overall (no distinction between PQB and DQB).

k06 is that you?

After seeing LSU's regression under Miles, I'm kinda glad Michigan didn't hire him.

AWESOME POINT DUUUUUUDE! Especially seeing as miles hasnt regressed at all.
the only thing thats changed in the sec is meyer taking off, and saban being introduced.
December 5th, 2009 at 2:33 PM ^
They have regressed. We used to always hear about an "Elite" LSU defense that Herbstreit is quoted as saying, "I wouldn't want a family member or loved to go against that LSU defense." Since Saban they have become worse and worse. Now they are just kind of meh.
December 5th, 2009 at 2:36 PM ^
I think Pelini had a LOT to do with that.
December 5th, 2009 at 3:04 PM ^
Exactly. Remember that all the talk about Miles was that he wasn't really an X's and O's guy at all, but more of a CEO-type coach. He relied on top notch coordinators like Crowton and Pelini to handle the details and provides leadership and a head full of nuts. Though LSU has a lot of defensive talent, they're under a first year coordinator in John Chavis.

yes, since sabans players have left, the talent level has gone down.
everyone with a brain knew that was going to happen.
the quality of the players miles has recruited has not at all regressed. maybe even gotten better since then.
pelini left, but was replaced by chavis.
