2015 Away games...who is going?

Submitted by Wmonette on

I am, like many here on the boards, a Michigan graduate living in New York City. Last year, I tried to get out to the Rutgers game, but couldn't for reasons related to studies and the like.

But I am simply not missing every game this year. While I have tentative plans to fly back to the Glove State for a home game or two, I am definitely renting a car or tkaing a bus or something to College Park Maryland on October the 3rd. I was posting here to see if anyone else had planned to be there (I know it's a way out but the Harbaugh has me very, very excited).

I live near Leesburg, VA.  I plan to go to the Maryland game.  I considered making the drive to the PSU game, but that place gives me the creeps.

Ha! I'm in Alexandria, there's so many PSU grads around here -- every time I see sometime wearing their attire now, the first thing that comes to mind is that their school facilitated a molestation ring.  Not that anyone would want to go otherwise, but Lincoln, NB is a well-known Chester Central too.  There's some creepy places around the Big Ten -- Rutgers too, with all the weird abuse stuff that went on there.

I live in Indianapolis, so I'll be heading to the game in Bloomington. My buddy has a lakehouse near Bloomington so we may get a group together and go party at the lakehouse after the Michigan win.

I won't be at the Maryland game but I'm planning on heading out to Utah to catch the first game of the Harbaugh era.

Does anyone have any good ticket options or should I just scalp or go the stub hub route?

Indiana, Minnesota or perhaps even Utah.  Gf said she was interested in a "Western Trip", heh.  Got her hooked on the basketball team(Particularly w/ Stauskas/Levert), but football has been a hard sell since Denard left, hopefully a new star emerges.

last year I made it to Notre Dame, Northwestern, and Rutgers - along with 3 home games. I was also on a flight that got cancelled the Saturday morning of the Maryland game - otherwise I would've been at that game too. And that was without Harbaugh!  Now that we got Harbaugh, there's no telling how many games I'm going to be at this year. I've already started looking into making plans to go to the Spring game and the Utah game. I am definitley going to the Penn State and  Maryland games. Luckily, I have accounts in Minnesota so I'm hoping to make it to that game too, but Bloomington is in the middle of nowhere - that is the least likely game for me.

I vowed to myself I would make one trip this year after several years of going the "home games only" route, mainly because that's easy enough to do when you only live 25 minutes from Ann Arbor by freeway. It's probably going to be Bloomington only because it is one of the few Big Ten venues I have not yet visited, so I can at least cross it off the list.

We are going with a very large group of Mich fans (30) and probably another 20 MD fans. College Park doesn't have the best tailgating but, we will make do. Also going to Utah, Minny, and PSU.

Utah

I live in Oregon. Plan on attending the utah game with my son, as part of our annual boys trip. It'll be his first Mich game. Will also be exploring some of the awesome national parks in Utah. Should be a blast. Can't wait!

I think every alum in the DC area is trying to get tix for the Maryland game. I've been working on getting tix through the Maryland side of things and am hopeful. I fear that there will not be loads of tix available from Michigan sources (if the OSU experience last season is any predictor).  I wish they'd just move the game to M&T so they could sell another 25,000 tickets.

My wife and I had tentatively planned to go the Maryland game.  We try to go one away game every year and have some friends we would like to see in the D.C. area.  It looks like lots of others here might be there as well.    However, with the two young kids, one of which will probably come with us, Im not sure.

Ive never been to Happy Valley, so that may be another option, Ive always wanted to see the stadium in person.
