UF DE Carlos Dunlap Arrested
Now we get to see how the coach who suspended Brandon Spikes one half for eye-gouging will react to the DUI arrest of his best defensive lineman.
I believe this is somewhere around the 30th arrest of a Gator since the lovable Urban Meyer took over at Florida.
Carlos Dunlap arrested at 3:30 this morning for suspicion of DUI.

2 guys from Texas got arrested as well over the last 2 weeks. They were both suspended.
I hope Bama kills Fla

I don't think I like Nick Saban all that much more than Urban Meyer...
Is there any way that both teams can lose?
December 1st, 2009 at 1:22 PM ^
looks like you'll be a Longhorn for 1 night in Jan.
I am a little surprised that TX is favored by 2 TD's though

In the Urban Meyer punishment system, if trying to blind someone equals sitting out a half against a shit team (vandy), a DUI (with the SEC champ game next), must be along the lines of some extra running.
So expect to see Carlos Dunlap being extra conditioned come saturday

Nice avatar... inspired by the Michigan in Space commercial? (aka, the "Space, bitches" commercial)

my original idea was michigan's history with flying to the moon, but this was something i cooked up in 10min in photoshop.

Urban can't play it both ways. He can't site God and his son Tebow's great work on one hand and then look they other way when one of his players goes down another path. Say what you want about RR but his dealings with player's issues has been spot on. Kevin Grady was kicked off the team for basically the same thing if I am not correct. Granted he was let back on the team, but still the initial punishment fit the crime. If Urban doesn't do anything it will truely be a tragedy.
December 1st, 2009 at 10:06 AM ^
According to EDSBS, he may have been Kevin Grady drunk.
December 1st, 2009 at 10:07 AM ^
Only player I can remember receiving significant punishment under Meyer is Cameron Newton a.k.a Heir to Tebow. Haven't really followed it closely though, I'm sure there were more.
OT - Anyone see Will Hill starting for the Gators? First Florida game I watched intently this past weekend and he was on the field. Didn't seem to play too bad, but didn't stand out either. Just remember wanting him badly when he was a recruit.
December 1st, 2009 at 11:26 AM ^
He was listed as ATH during recruiting, but he committed to Florida well before February. I thought he played pretty well and contributed. Not bad since I think he is a redshirt freshman or true sophomore.
December 1st, 2009 at 2:44 PM ^
I thought he looked real good coming off the edge, he would probably play Stevie Brown's position if he was here.
December 1st, 2009 at 10:30 AM ^
I am sure it won't mean much he was probably one of Zook's recruits :)
December 1st, 2009 at 10:39 AM ^
They will handle it "internally" until Sunday at which time he will be prohibited from playing in any games for the following 2 weeks.
December 1st, 2009 at 10:43 AM ^
Must be an intersting locker room in Florida. St. Tebow holding a prayer meeting for all the virgins on campus on 1 side of the room while they are playing NWA on the other side while they plan their keg party and see how many they can get in on the gang bang.
Carlos Dunlap must not have spent 15 minutes with Tebow because he would have been saved .
December 1st, 2009 at 11:27 AM ^
Yeah, but the gang bang always involves a Touchdown Jesus moment when Tebow joins in.

I think everyone has probably driven when they had one beer too many. You're a little buzzed and the next day you think, "Gee, I probably shouldn't have done that."
Maybe you get really unlucky and you get pulled and hit with a DUI.
This guy was so drunk that he passed out OVER the steering wheel. He didn't fall back against the headrest. He pitched forward. At a red light. Which means, moments before losing conciousness...he was driving.
And then he couldn't even wake up when the cops were shaking him.
December 1st, 2009 at 11:11 AM ^
This is great, hopefully this guy drops to the 2nd round that way the Lions can land both Suh and Dunlap.
December 1st, 2009 at 11:27 AM ^
The Lions do not need another Reggie Rogers.

I hope Florida wins. I hate Nick Saban. He used to coach for Michigan State. I hope all kinds of bad things happen to his teams, whether he's coaching for the Dolphins or the Tide or the Toronto Argonauts.
I really do get sick of reading jokes about Tim Tebow and his Christianity. It's not his fault that the media latches onto his mission trips, his pastor father, etc. Just let it go.
December 1st, 2009 at 12:06 PM ^
You hate Saban bc he coached at MSU and hope bad things happen to his teams (which are comprised of young men)? Grow up, bro.
December 1st, 2009 at 12:28 PM ^
Yes, MichMike86. I hope Nick Saban's teams are unsuccessful. But I do need to grow up, because no sensible person ever roots against a coach/team that they don't like, right? I mean, you want OSU and MSU and PSU and ND to all be successful every single week, right?
December 1st, 2009 at 12:34 PM ^
You're a complete idiot. Hoping all kinds of bad things to happen to a team does not equate rooting against a team or coach.
December 1st, 2009 at 12:40 PM ^
Oh, Jesus Christ. I didn't say I want the entire team to die in a fiery plane crash. I just don't want them to win games or get good recruits. Stop being so damn uptight.
December 1st, 2009 at 1:14 PM ^
Don't pull JC into this. Your method of being proven wrong is to state outrageous claims that are so overboard so as to try to save yourself. Magnus: (wife finds out he cheated on her) "Jesus Christ. It's not like I killed someone". Wall = Magnus

Someone has definitely gone "overboard", only it's not who you think.....just sayin'
December 1st, 2009 at 12:48 PM ^
What the hell are you talking about?
December 1st, 2009 at 4:32 PM ^
What do you have against the reply button?
December 1st, 2009 at 5:19 PM ^
For some reason, when I'm at work the reply button causes my browser to freeze. But I can post on the main thread with no problem. I'm not sure why.
December 1st, 2009 at 5:30 PM ^
What browser are you using? Are you able to install another or is your machine locked down?
December 1st, 2009 at 9:04 PM ^
It's locked down. It sucks. That's what happens when you work for the government, I guess. The Man keeps holding you down.
December 1st, 2009 at 11:28 PM ^
Heh, I work for the government, too, but I work in IT so I do what I want! OK, not really.
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 AM ^
What's YOUR deal?
December 1st, 2009 at 5:34 PM ^
I have a tough time pointing the finger when former M players brokered drug deals to Florida and another had to be let go for not being able to control himself from indecent exposure.
Just Saying.
December 1st, 2009 at 6:40 PM ^
when it doesn't really apply. Like the always inculpable Bobby Bowden says, no coach can babysit his players 100% of the time. But that's not what it's about. It's about how the coach addresses the incident. Feagin and Harrison were booted from the team, so the UM coaches responded as well as they could have, while a Dantonio taxis individuals from the county jail to the practice field.
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:04 AM ^
Nobody's saying, "our players don't get in trouble." What people are saying, is that Urban Meyer has been VERY lax in punishing those who do, and thereby encouraging/ enabling more of that trouble to take place. All the while acting as if they are all choirboys like Tebow (who seems to be a genuinely good guy, I just blame the media hype machine).
And while we are talking, what is a "campion"? Cause if staying will cause be to be one, I want to find out before I decide to stay.
December 1st, 2009 at 6:33 PM ^
Meyer comes down hard, won't play in SEC championship. Per Sportscenter.
December 1st, 2009 at 11:11 PM ^
If I was Urban I would would be sooooo pissed. I mean how stupid can Dunlap be. Why would you do anything that could get you in trouble before a #1 vs. #2 showdown.
