OT-Tiger Woods Theory

Submitted by marc_from_novi on
I obviously have no inside knowledge of the Tiger Woods incident. However, it seems a bit fishy that his wife would use a golf club to break the rear widow of his SUV in order to get him out. She would have had to craw through glass shards to get to the front of the vehicle. She would have been better served to break the passanger side window or side rear window instead. My theory is that they had a dispute and as he was driving off upset she chucked the golf club at the back of the car and broke the window. That startled Tiger and caused him to swerve into the fire hydrant and tree. If he was not going fast enough to deploy the airbags, he may also not have been going fast enough to trigger the automatic door locks. This has now turned into an embarrassing story necessitating a cover-up. I also find it interesting that Tiger got to choose when he spoke with police. Nice double standard in our society. Do you think the average Joe would have been given 3 days to get his story straight? Just my two cents.

In Florida, in a standard traffic investigation, Tiger is only required to produce a license , registration, and proof of insurance. So, even if it was me, I would still only be required to produce the same thing; there is no special treatment here. If anything, the only "special treatment" Tiger is getting is a gross intrusion on his right to privacy.

So..if the only things required are license, registration and proof of insurance, how did they rule out alcohol was not a problem without further investigation? I have no knowledge of Florida law, but what constitutes "standard"? How would you rule out other drugs weren't taken? Do you have to have probably cause? If so, it seems to me that a car wrapped around a tree with its driver going in and out of consciousness at 2:30 am would be sufficient probable cause. How about the insurance company? Don't they have a right to know why the vehicle is largely trashed and the condition of the driver at the time of the accident?

there was no probably cause for drugs being taken and, should they have wanted to pursue it, could have requested a warrant for his blood results at the hospital Woods was taken to after the accident. how in the hell would any of your questions be satisfied by a police report? further, since Woods is not obligated to make an insurance claim, that's not a factor to be considered by the police. As i already mentioned, standard protocol in the event there are no charges pending for the likes of a driver causing harm to another individual (this is a one-car incident) or suspicion of illegal activity, the police wait until the driver is medically capable of an interview. woods and his wife have been claiming that standard had not been met.

Here is the code section dealing with FL accident reports. Insurance information is required as part of the police report. Even if you don't file a claim, every new or renewal insurance application I have ever seen requests whether you have had an accident (or a traffic violation) within a given time frame, usually three years, as such information is material to risk analysis. If you don't report the accident, you commit fraud or perjury, depending upon the form, even if you did not file a claim. http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&…

...is that his wife attacked him for not winning a Major last year and chased his car from behind taunting him about it. On the 911 call, you can hear her in the background yelling, "Y.E. fucking Yang!?!? Man up you pussy!" Just a theory, but I'd put money on it.

odd your 'theory' is the exact TMZ recap... they got into an argument, she scratched the crap out of him, he went to leave, she grabbed a club from inside the garage and started hitting the car. he pulled out and she followed, smashing the window. he rolled into fire hydrant. also your "theory" is fail as previously mentioned because Florida police protocol is to allow a member of an accident to recuperate before following up in its inquiry. as he is not being charged with a DUI and it's reserved to the incident (hitting a fire hydrant and tree), there is no real investigation to be had and it's only for public interest now. so yes, you would have gotten 3 days too if you weren't under suspicion of DUI

the police have already determined that alcohol was not a factor, so unless tiger says that he purposely took out a fire hydrant and tree the interview with police is pointless, he would deny any fight with his wife because it probably is irrelevant to the crash, also what kind of human being would want his personel life playing out in the public, especially tiger who seems to stay away from the lime-light outside the ropes.

Anyone with Tiger's accomplishments ought to be able to drive like Dale Earnhart after being scratched by an enraged wife who then chases the car breaking windows with a golf club. I mean, Jack Nicklaus could have done that. Right?

Neither Tiger nor his wife has to talk to the police. Since they are doing so voluntarily, they will give them a couple of days. The police really do not have an option here. Tiger could just refuse to talk with them, and then agree to do so a week from now if he wanted. Even if they arrested him he could refuse to talk to them and request an attorney. The only difference is the PR of refusing to talk to the police, versus cooperating with the investigation. That, of course, is a function of who he is. (If you or I refused to talk to the cops, no one would care.) The officer who responded to the scene made the decision not to test for alcohol. That officer(s) decided that there wasn't enough to justify the test.

Tiger's wife finds it sexually arousing to have Tiger beat her with golf clubs. On this particular night, they had been on a cocaine binge and things got out of had. Tiger smashed her head against the rear window of his SUV, at which point she demanded he get more coke "RIGHT NOW!" In his haste, he lost control of the vehicle and hit the tree and hydrant. I really think that this is the most logical explanation.

This isn't a theory, it's a hypothesis. Hypothesis = a speculative guess (not backed by testing) as to what could happen, or could have happened, in a specific case. Theory = an established principle (supported by extensive previous testing) that is used to explain events in general.

couldn't happen. He is married to a beautiful blond. My theory is she cheated on him. In his spare time he watched too much Oprah and loved the shows with Tom Cruise. True, I don't know, but good foder on a site that should be focused on UM sports ... pitiful.

I am a criminal defense attorney and none of my clients would be afforded 3 days to let wounds heal or to get there story straighten out. Despite the media hype, this is not a "traffic investigation" but rather it is a criminal investigation - for there would be no reason to talk with him otherwise. If TMZ and National Enquirer is correct (I know that is like saying MSU football team is full of choir boys) than he has some serious issues for than a crime was committed. As guess we just have to sit back and and wait and see what happens.

"I am a criminal defense attorney and none of my clients would be afforded 3 days to let wounds heal or to get there story straighten out." In the State of Florida they would: "Woods is not required by law to give a statement to the crash investigator." http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/orange_news/112908_Tiger_hires_fam…

Although I know there isn't a double standard, he might have been pickled, but we'll never know, that's just a hypothetical theory. Maybe his wife was just disappointed that his up and down game isn't what it used to be, or his putter won't stay up.

spat. She slapped and/or scratched him to the point of him leeding and he was pissed and got in the car and slammed into the tree to make it look like an accident. Funny thing is, according to the photos, none of the car windows were broken. Where did the cuts come from?
