Fuck yes.
January 16th, 2015 at 12:16 PM ^
him off?
January 16th, 2015 at 12:18 PM ^
He wouldn't dare. Dantonio is a classic schoolyard bully, picking on the small fries. One glance from Jim and he'd be petrified.
January 16th, 2015 at 4:33 PM ^
He wouldn't even interrupt Hoke, he did it to Hecklinski.
January 16th, 2015 at 7:26 PM ^
Dantonio can take a hike!
January 16th, 2015 at 12:20 PM ^
Depends on how fast Dantonio wants to get sent to the moon.
January 16th, 2015 at 12:24 PM ^
There is a clip on the Freep site of Dantonio's talk. He spends a good portion of it parroting off stats about how great MSU has been the past 5 years. Which they have been. But how useful is that to MHSAA football coaches at a clinic?
I am not normally one to criticize opposing coaches & players, knowing that those kinds of comments are usually driven by bias (and often sour grapes). But regardless of the colors he wears, I do not like that man.
January 16th, 2015 at 5:50 PM ^
That is fantastic.
January 16th, 2015 at 12:56 PM ^
Just applying some critical thinking here, but I also watched the video of MD's speech. He started off with that to lead into his talking points about how to coach for success or whatever he titled the 5 goals.
I do not mean to defend the jerk, but I didn't see anything wrong with what he said.
I do however see where you're coming from. He could've talked about his 5 goals or whatever without referencing his team specifically. Just like at the last one, when he interrupted Heck, he had to point out that "I didn't want it to be a recruiting speech for only Michigan", but this time he wanted it to be about MSU? The pictures in the slides kept showing the cotton bowl and the final score.
Okay, I give in. I totally agree with your point now.
January 16th, 2015 at 1:28 PM ^
Inferiority complex strikes again. He's not speaking to soccer enthusiasts from Europe. These are Michigan High School coaches: they all know the successes of the Dantonio program without his reading a resume.
January 16th, 2015 at 4:21 PM ^
FMD, that weed layin' in inferiority complex havin' piece of trash. Can't wait till we get to nut punch and bitch slap him year in and year out until he pulls an Urban and says he's retiring for health reasons.
January 16th, 2015 at 12:39 PM ^
When he does, State fans' reaction will follow the same pattern:
"BS! Our coach would NEVER do anything like that! This is just Blue Wall fantasy!"
(One day later)
"Oh, he actually did do it? GOOD! Classy move by Coach D!"
January 16th, 2015 at 12:52 PM ^
OMG, I just thought of something. I would LOVE it if that happened and Jim's response is, "I'm sorry, but who are you?"
January 16th, 2015 at 12:18 PM ^
"I've been in a three point stance for the last three weeks during this dead period. Now I feel like I'm liberated to go talk to coaches and recruit student athletes. I get to run around now."
January 16th, 2015 at 12:20 PM ^
I picked a bad year to not be on a coaching staff.
January 16th, 2015 at 12:30 PM ^
to quit sniffing glue....
January 16th, 2015 at 3:59 PM ^
I'm in the same boat! Wish I would have been there!

January 16th, 2015 at 1:11 PM ^
I'm going to have to get one of those bad boys. A great classic look. I wonder if it will also make me look thinner?
January 16th, 2015 at 2:38 PM ^
Stop worrying about your body image and get the damned sweatshirt.
January 16th, 2015 at 4:50 PM ^
I love that sweatshirt.
I had to chuckle at Jim's clothes....so not surprised by the dark sweatshirt tucked into those khakis. Love it.
January 16th, 2015 at 11:38 PM ^
Looks great with Khakis!
January 16th, 2015 at 12:22 PM ^
Does anyone have the whole thing? That was a tease.

the pride and enthusiasm I have for our new coach, is off the charts. He is just so great.
January 16th, 2015 at 12:48 PM ^
The three point stance he does on stage is awesome! Haha, he's so into this! You can tell he's just excited and thrilled to be here. It really makes me excited for next year. We have a coach!

EDIT: moved to where I meant it to be posted

Anyone know how attendance looked for Harbaugh vs Dantonio?
January 16th, 2015 at 1:07 PM ^
Angelique is there and she is tweeting quotes and pictures.
Looks like a packed house to hear Harbaugh.

the freep link stops 4 min in. anyone have a link to the full speech? would love to hear the entire talk.
thanks
January 16th, 2015 at 2:41 PM ^
I have no doubt Harbaugh had that entire room eating from the palm of his hand.
January 16th, 2015 at 7:07 PM ^
I'm glad Dantonio ' s personality was taken - or lack thereof. What a bore. Loved Coach Harbaugh's pacing back and forth, speaking from the heart, the 3 point stance and wanting to play as long as possible, coach then die as opposed to Dantonio's stiff, uninspired slide show talking point presentation.
January 16th, 2015 at 7:38 PM ^
Dantonio - dry like a piece of toast. Harbaugh a thick slice of Angelo ' s raisen bread toast soaked with butter, ham and honey. How does this guy motivate anyone? He is toast.
January 16th, 2015 at 7:48 PM ^
I'm going to curse a few times to make my point here so be forewarned. I vividly remember prior to even the rumors heating up about Harbaugh coming to Michigan, reading and hearing multiple people say things like "he doesn't want to recruit, his heart is all about Super Bowls and the NFL". I want to make it very clear that the people who said that any bullshit even remotely along those lines should never be heard from again. Clearly, there are people who can claim to know and understand someone without having ANY FUCKING CLUE about a person. 3 minutes spent with this guy or watching him speak you instantly know that a) he has relished the opportunity to be back around family and have his dad be around the Michigan program again--real subtle acceptance of that applause on Jack's part by the way--not a knock, that was awesome! 2) the enthusiasm he has for recruiting and being around coaches and kids is absolutely invigorating and amazing to see.
So in closing, people are really fucking stupid.
