After the sweep of Minnesota, having a Bell's Expedition Stout while simultaneously watching Pats-Ravens and Red Wings Hockey....that injury to Howie didn't look good!

Maized and Confused

I've been to fox n hound twice for games. I'm not alumni, wasn't good enough to play for Michigan, so took a scholarship for a small D1 school in Louisiana. My family is from Michigan and grew up a huge fan, but sometimes I feel out of place at places like that not being Alumni. I don't want to be judged as a Walmart Wolverine. I bleed blue, but wasn't fortunate enough to attend. Hopefully I can get my kids in one day though

I am an alumni and I kind of felt out of place at Fox and Hound as well. This whole "Walmart Wolverine" thing is so stupid. Like the fans of all other big schools all went to school there! It's total crap. I just enjoy watching and talking Michigan football with other fans regardless of whether they went to UM or not. I hate the snobbery associated with that term. I remember wearing Michigan gear at state college at a PSU game, and (after we sliced them up- think it was a Tom Brady comeback), some PSU fans were like "did u even go there?" I looked around at the 90,000 Penn State fans and just laughed at them and at what hypocrites they were.

You are for Michigan....growing up in Michigan I was raised as a Wolverine and I was fortunate enough to have attended. However, I also understand that the college or University that people choose to attend or not has nothing to do with their fandom and every individuals circumstances are unique. To that point, the term Walmart Wolverine is complete bull shit!

While the kids were ata bouncy place with numerous slides and running themselves ragged, my brother-in-law and I stopped at a store and I managed to find a bottle of Taylor Fladgate port, which is delightful and indeed takes the place of the dessert that I probably would have served after dinner. I suppose I am happy now with that alone.
