Report: The Dumbest Fanbases...
Fox Sports has taken the time to provide us with an in depth analysis of the dumbest fan bases in American sports.
1. Alabama
2. Kentucky
3. The Ohio State University
4. Arkansas
5. Notre Dame
My personal favorite line: "Ohio State is the most SEC-like fanbase in the country that's not actually in the SEC."

I hate UK fans. They are so stupid.
January 3rd, 2015 at 11:14 PM ^
Anyone who was at the Elite Eight game in Indy back in March can confirm, it's Kentucky. I'm still in shock of that fanbase. That was something else.
January 3rd, 2015 at 11:33 PM ^
I was at that game with my father-in-law and was blown away by the UK fans. Worst game experience in my entire life that had nothing to do with the outcome of the game..
January 4th, 2015 at 1:43 AM ^
especially after a 350 pounder next to me kept screaming "Safari Dakari" after every putback or rebound. Seriously, its almost like if you live in the state if Kentucky, you have to take an IQ test upon birth. If you show any signs of intelligence, you're given a Louisville hat, and the rest are given BBN tramp stamps regardless of gender.

Portions of all fan bases are dumb.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:49 PM ^
This is correct. Maybe we should judge by percentage.

Yes. I say dumb because they have no understanding of sports in context or history and because their fans/ alums are just not very smart.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:53 PM ^
Definitely gotta put sparty in over Domers. bucknuts have some very knowledgeable fans that love college athletics as much as any fan base. A lot of mouth breathing morons too!
And based on the reception their players got upon returning from Pasadena, how are Noles fans not in there?
January 3rd, 2015 at 11:27 PM ^
I was wondering how Sparty could have possibly been omitted. Since they have apparently taken the piece down now and I won't be able to read it, I guess I am not going to get any further insight. I am guessing the comments field got too "real" for them.
January 3rd, 2015 at 11:57 PM ^
This was a series of ten pieces done in 2013. The answer to why Sparty isn't mentioned: West Virginia is #8. Besides having a penchant for burning couches in common, half of the WVU piece could be about Sparty.
It all makes perfect sense now. Sparty can't even do "dumb" right.

with as many people on this site who were hoping for less Miles if we missed on JH its not looking good. See what I did there...
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:54 PM ^
lol...
I can't believe this was posted on a "10 dumbest fanbases" thread. Let's add Michigan in there.
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:21 PM ^
Yeah, I have no idea what that poster was trying to say there, but I think it was "Hey, can I be the poster boy for why we should at least get a mention?"
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:28 PM ^
My guess is we've got a troll on our train.
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:29 PM ^
Yeah, because a guy who loves the university he played for, and who happens to have won a national championship at an SEC school, would be a stupid hire.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:52 PM ^
Have you seen some of those Michigan State fan signs? I feel like those would automatically qualify them for the top 5.
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:12 PM ^
Cue the burning couch gif.
January 4th, 2015 at 11:26 AM ^
Someone should really print that out and stick it on a poster board for a gameday sign.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:54 PM ^
ohio state, pittsburgh steelers, uk basketball, ny yankees, dallas cowboys, oakland raiders
January 3rd, 2015 at 11:43 PM ^
Don't forget Duke basketball and the Lakers

dumb post...in before the delete
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:55 PM ^
alone, we've got some pretty dim bulbs ourselves. That includes me.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:55 PM ^
Just about everything they do and say is out of hatred for Michigan. Screws them up way more often than not. They just can't get over us. Also, when it's all said and done, win or lose, they're still Sparty, and they know it, and they hate it.

Over 5,000 posts on their UM coaching search thread. Started with no way an elite NFL coach considers UM then Harbaugh had no other NFL options and finally he's no good and will be RichRod 2.0.
It's outstanding. High comedy.

That one is some pure unadulterated f**kin' co.me.dy.
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:58 PM ^
"UM has almost no high level talent on that roster, none. If no one transfers they might have 1 or 2 players on their whole roster who would start for us. It's a full rebuilding job and it's going to take longer than a couple years no matter who they are able to bring in to coach."
This is the sentiment from most fan bases. They have no clue what talent we have, they are just going by the premise that just because our last coaching staff couldn't develope offensive talent properly that must mean that there isn't any! We will surprise most people with how competetive we will be next year.
January 4th, 2015 at 12:53 AM ^
Just read a comment there that said Michigan goes 3-9 next year with wins only to UNLV, Rutgers, and Indiana. Wow that reminds me why I never visit.
January 3rd, 2015 at 10:39 PM ^
reading that thread as I started to a few days ago for entertainment.
It is absolutely hilarious reading those comments from early December. Basically the summary so far is they believe Harbaugh is a pipe dream and it's going to be either Shiano or Kiffin (lol!). They say Harbaugh won't want to come because our fans will run him out of town after two years.
Lol!

2007 Stanford upset of USC. That is all.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:55 PM ^
I am assuming that Fox Sports did nopt follow the normal procedure and get fans of each fanbase to stand in the men's room and recite:
"Spiegel, Spiegel an der Wand
Wer ist die Dummsten in der land?"
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:56 PM ^
Ohio State and it's not even close!!
January 3rd, 2015 at 10:27 PM ^
Oregon, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo in northwest Ohio, will make the temporary switch in support of Ohio State.
Two city natives, put together a change.org petition calling for Oregon to change its name and for Oregon's Clay High School to change its school colors from green and gold -- the same as the Ducks -- for that day. The temporary name has yet to be determined.
January 3rd, 2015 at 11:59 PM ^
They're going to change the name to Marcus Mariota.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:56 PM ^
Florida State? Keying cars and popping tires as your team goes 29-1 and wins a national championship..
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:57 PM ^
I'd say because I'm a HUGE member of the MICH fanbase, that probably propels us towards the top 10.
Yes I am that dumb
No I don't mind
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:14 PM ^
And you are large.
January 3rd, 2015 at 8:57 PM ^
We are...whenever we lose. Or maybe that's just here.
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:00 PM ^
Hey, does anyone want to make a thread for me? A Florida player shit his pants during the game today!

You post, in the dumb thread, about something utterly useless, inconsequential, and unimportant to any aspect of life.
And you spell valiant wrong.
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:12 PM ^
I'm beginning to think you wrote the article
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:14 PM ^
You've tried 4 times now already, it's not all that funny, and certainly not thread worthy.
January 3rd, 2015 at 9:32 PM ^
That's pretty pathetic that you want someone to make a thread that celebrates something horribly embarrassing (yet thankfully temporary) that happened to a kid who was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Thanks for being the shining example for why there is a point threshold to create threads.
January 3rd, 2015 at 10:33 PM ^
Have you any sense of humor? If you can't laugh about someone shitting their pants, what can you laugh at?!?
Did you shit your pants as a kid and were such a pussy that you let people's laughs harm your delicate psyche?
January 3rd, 2015 at 10:46 PM ^
don't be a weenie
