All aboard the Oregon bandwagon!

Ok ohio, that was nice for the B1G and all but feel free to go out and get obliterated in the title game. I think 70-0 should do the trick.

I was texting back and forth during the game and told someone that I am the "world's biggest Oregon fan" for the next seven days.  Now that the Evil Bammers and the SEC have gone down, I want to see Oregon hang 50 on Ohio State.

FSU had 30 days to prepare and they got wrecked by the Ducks... What are they gonna do to a defense that only has 10 days to prep?

are similiar.  FSU's offense and Oregon's offense aren't that similiar.  Not saying OSU's defense is going to perform great, but they go up against an offense similiar to Oregon's in practice everyday.

OSU/Oregon is going to be about who can score the most points.  FSU had 528 yards of offense against Oregon's defense.  The problem was they stumbled in the red zone early and turned the ball over 5 times.

FSU had that many yards because Oregon was running them into the ground with 120 second possessions, turnovers or no turnovers. That yardage stat, plus time of possession, mean nothing. It'll be good to see Oregon finally get over.

And thank you for the clarification on the most points winning. That helped cement my understanding of the game.

FSU had that many yards because Oregon's defense was having a hard time stopping them.  During the game the announcers said the Oregon coaches expected to give up a lot of yards between the 20's and hopefully make a stand in the red zone, which to their credit they did.

As long as OSU doesn't turn the ball over like FSU did, it'll be a good game.

No problem on helping you understand some of the nuances of  the game.  More then happy to help a fellow Wolverine!!

I'm sure Ohio State will show up. Urban Meyer is a hell of a coach. Say what you want about him personally, his ethics, his past, or whatever else -- when it comes down to coaching college football, he might be the best there is right now.

F that. F everything. I refuse to root for either of these teams. Seriously this is pretty much my doomsday scenario. Only ND-OSU could be worse. I won't be watching the game and will avoid hearing anything about it for as long as possible.

Really? Tell that to TCU. They aren't going back to the BCS, so what does it matter if the "BCS was fine"??? I don't care about fsu or Bama. So I'd be indifferent if either of them won it all. OSU would be horrible, and I live in Oregon. Trust me, ducks fans are right up there with Sparty fans. So hopefully you can understand my perspective.

What does TCU getting left out have to do with playoffs being the right way to go? I'm a proponent of an 8 team playoff, with home-field for the top 4 in the first round. TCU was done in by losing to Baylor, and the Bears having virtually no claim to a playoff spot due to in an incredibly shitty schedule.
And the BCS thing matters because that argument is now completely put to rest.
Every fanbase is full of shitheads. Plenty of other fanbases that live in Michigan (or simply around a larger concentration of UM fans) say similar things about us. So that argument doesn't mean much to me. Especially since nobody in their right mind can see FSU being a lesser of two evils. That is a program that brazenly showcases the worst of college football.

Well it's hard for me to buy that the playoffs were the right way to go as you said, when possibly the best team in the country is watching from home. So was it better than the bcs? Sure, I guess so. But are we getting a true champion? I still don't think we are. And yes, all fan bases has shitty fans. But having visited Ann Arbor, east Lansing, Columbus, south bend, Evanston, Madison, eugene, corvallis, etc...I can tell you that some programs and fans are worse than others. Ohio state fans are the worst. Sparties a close second, tied with oregon fans. Not to mention that under Chip Kelly AND Helfrich, Oregon paid a recruiting service in Texas to steer recruits their way, resulting in a show cause penalty that essentially forced Kelly to go to the NFL. Oregon is a dirty program that has made it to the big time because of money and cheating in recruitment. Sorry but I can't root for that kind of program.

I'm sure glad as hell we hired Harbaugh cause what I watched today was on another level. The Buckeyes took Bama out with a 3rd string QB. Wow! The Ducks will have their hands full.

and all you slappies who rooted for OSU are going to get exactly what you deserve. Unfortunately the rest of the Michigan fan base will have to share the misery too.

You can't fight who you root for, it's a subconscious desire like what qualities you find attractive in a mate. I'm the biggest Michigan fan I've ever met and I was 100% rooting for OSU. I can't explain it other than I've lived in big 10 country my whole life. And I straight up hate OSU.

I rooted for OSU in the 2002 national championship game because I was a fool and thought it would somehow help Michigan via helping B1G prominance. The 12 years after that have been hell. After OSU won the Rose Bowl again in 2010 I finally decided I could never root for them again. We have been their bitch for as long as I can remember.

Been watching the Ducks since my daughter started attending UO in 2012.  Despite how they dominated the Criminoles, the media will continue to view them as a gimmick team no matter how much Herbie now says, "can we put to rest the idea that Oregon is a finesse team?"  Yeah ohio beat them in the Rose Bowl a few years back, but that team was a more primitive version of the Duck team that has evolved over the last 3 seasons.  I suspect ohio will think they will roll over the Ducks.  I think not. The Ducks will be my Michigan proxy,   Go Ducks!
