Auden Tate re-tweets

Submitted by Mattavious on

I know these went out yesterday but I hadn't seen anything posted on them.  I did a search before posting this and couldn't find anything on here.  These are some retweets by Auden Tate and at the bottom we can see he started following Jim Harbaugh as well.  It is going to be interesting to see what happens with recruiting when it is all said and done.  I believe Harbaugh can still get us a top notch class.

Disclaimer:  I do not have a twitter account and I do not tweet players but I do search them for recruiting tidbits.  Also, I know there is probably a better formatting for this but unfortunately I do not know how to do it.  Sorry.

Your avatar is pretty distasteful. It's like Willy Wonka, Teddy Roosevelt, and the Coca-Cola polar bears got together and had a baby. Can't you see how that might be offensive?!?!?!

It's not you, it's me... I suppose it is difficult to watch all the complaining that happens on the site and not eventually respond.  That's all it was.  More directed at past misgivings than you, mgobleu.  We're all brothers that bleed blue.  It's cool.  And you can insult my dog all day long. He has it coming...

The first reply and it's someone complaining. All too common around here. Nobody here really cares if somebody can't read twitter. There's no need to tell us about it. If you really can't stop yourself, then don't use words like awful and gobbedlygook in reference to the OP's post.

Not sure why 26 people liked this post when it jumps all over a guy for doing somehting he really didn't do.  His commentary was about twitter. This is obvious.  Very cliquey. BTW, I totally agree with the general sentiment expressed in this post...just picked the wrong post/OP to address.

any of this sounds "entitled", but take what you will from it, I guess. I was not, by the way, jabbing at the OP, but at Twitter and it's complicated format. I think another problem a lot of people have around here is their inability to decipher humor in text. So many times I have read subtle humor in a post where someone else reads it as flying daggers of hate. Let's not assume everyone on here hates everyone else, please. In the meantime, I guess I will have to literally use a "sarcasm" or "humor" sign.

He would be a great pick up to replace Funchess immediately.

Regardless of Tate, I think Harbaugh is going to have some nice surprises for us between now and signing day. He will assemble a killer coaching staff and, I bet, he will solidify this into a strong transistors so recruiting class.

I do think Michigan should continue pursuing Auden Tate, but what I would really like to see is a guy who can stretch the field and/or catch-and-run. It seems like the last time we had a true burner was Mario Manningham, and Gallon was a great catch-and-run guy (and sometimes deep threat) in 2013.

Well, I don't think that's entirely accurate. We did recruit numerous guys who can catch out of the backfield, but we were unsuccessful in securing many of their commitments. For example, we went hard after Ty Isaac - who has great hands - but he chose USC. Obviously, he ended up at Michigan eventually.

I think it has just been kind of the luck of the draw. Al Borges didn't really seem to use the running backs in the passing game except for screens, but I don't think he specifically avoided those types of running backs. From what I've seen, Mike Weber is a decent receiver out of the backfield. Derrick Green isn't a good receiver, but oh well.

I think we have a couple backs who can catch. Hopefully Harbaugh will use that aspect of the offense a little more often.
