I too agree that it was probably intentional. That said, is there a rule against walking backwards in the NFL, even if you know someone is there?  What about a running back that knows he can't avoid someone on the ground and intentionally steps on that person? Or someone who adds their body weight to a pile?  These are all on the same level in my mind and, while questionable, probably don't warrant a suspension.

Intentional?  Yes.

Worth a flag?  Maybe.

Meriting a suspension?  No fucking way.

The guy is a putz who continually makes stupid decisions, but that was not even in the realm of suspendable actions.  It was about as minimal as an intentional wrong can be in the game of football.

Suh's play has been so good on the field this year, but that was just flat out stupid.  I can't even defend him.  Especially, after the Lions center was suspended just the week before for a similar act.  Suh probably just played his last game in a Lions uniform as well.  Cowboys will probably run wild on Detroit now.   Oh well, I still riding the Harbaugh wave of happiness and will be for the forseeable future.

Might be officially done with this fucking team.

*Probably should take that with a grain of salt being that I've said that at least once a year in the last 20.

Don't know that it warranted a suspension...but you know what? Stop fucking stepping, stomping, and doing generally stupid nonsensical after-the-whistle bullshit, and the league never even has a chance to suspend you. Act like a fucking professional.

This suspension is 90% Suh's reputation and 10% what actually happened.  Unless Suh has eyes in the back of his head he could not possibly have known who/what he was standing on.

Yet another example of the NFL targeting the Lions organization. This is BS, there was no intent whatsoever. It was an accident! I'm sick of this team constantly being unfairly spotlighted after every hard hit or accident on the field.

I really don't understand how you come to this conclusion. When on a football field walking backward, if you near step on someone, you look back to make sure you don't. You don't continue backward and put all your weight on said someone as soon as you do step on them. If it was only the first step this would be a non-issue, but it wasn't. Nor is the first instance of him doing something like this. He's a repeat offender with a well deserved reputation. The suspension is justified in this case. Be happy, you no longer have to worry about the punk drawing penalties against the Lions as this was likely his last game with the team.

I'm a Green Bay fan, but have several friends who are Detroit fans, and they all seem to think Detroit got hosed by officiating yesterday. As a Green Bay fan, I feel like I must be biased since I didn't think they were that bad. One terrible call was overturning the 2 point conversion. I'll be the first to admit that there is no way they should have overturned that. But even if they don't overturn it, Detroit still needed a miracle to just tie the game. I wouldn't say it was a great officiating job by any means, but I don't think it was bad and cost the Lions the game. I thought Green Bay was the better team that deserved to win, and that nothing the refs did changed the final result of the game.

One other thing I could see is that on the punt return for a TD, people wanted holding calls. But I saw plays on other kick returns where I thought they let similar things go in the Lions favor. Refs can't see every call. They miss calls every game. I just have a hard time seeing how Lion's fans can say the refs are the only reason Green Bay won yesterday. And I'm probably really biased when it comes to that, because in my mind nothing will ever be worse than Green Bay getting screwed out of a win in Seattle with the replacement refs. So I'd just like to hear a Lion's fan perspective on yesterday, and why you're convinced the Lions should have won that game if it wasn't for the refs giving the game to Green Bay.

Regardless, both teams are in the playoffs, and it's either you win the Super Bowl, or you failed on the season. If you're the best team, you can beat anybody anywhere, and both teams still have their chance to do that!

There was a block in the back on the Punt return TD which was five yards from the returner, the intentional grounding call and the 2 point conversion overturn. That's an arguable 11 point swing right there (though it obviously would've changed the outcome of the game and the 2 point never would have happened).

Home teams get home calls. This is a pretty well-proven effect. Additionally, historically prominent teams get more of a benefit of the doubt in big games. The Lions almost certainly got screwed yesterday, but probably not any more so than any other team would have in their situation.

Not as bad as Raiola, but he knew he was about to step on him and lifted his whole weight back onto Rodgers' leg. Cumong man. Be smarter.
