414 Rushing Yards???

Submitted by drewro02 on
Just read an article that Josh Furman rushed for 414 yards in a 58-55 overtime win Friday. Seems like a heck of an athlete, and would love to see him in maize and blue. He has apparently narrowed his list to M and Va Tech. Hopefully we get him.

If I had to bet today, I'd say that VT is the leader. He's said that he wants to play RB in college, but Michigan only wants him for defense. So that's why I've always kind of thought he was VT's to lose. That being said, he's already been to Michigan, so it's not extremely important that he visit again.

While I agree that he'd be a couple seasons away from hitting the field as a linebacker for us, I still think he has a greater opportunity for playing time overall at UM than VT. As "mds315" eluded to VT Frosh back Ryan Williams leads the team in rushing and I believe replaced the former team leader due to injury. Ontop of Williams they have another talented tailback in David Wilson who's also a freshman. I think the rest of their depth chart is made up of a sophomore and another freshman.
