@Johnubacon: I just got off the phone with more sources tonight. It's done. Jim Harbaugh is coming to Michigan - and his friends are flying in Monday.

i dont know....

im all for taking shots at ohio state, but urban meyer is in the playoffs right now. i dont think he is worried about harbaugh just yet...

come next september (and really, come this offseason recruiting cycle)...sure, urban has something to worry about. but lets not sit here and disrespect urban meyer just because we finally found a coach. urban meyer is still one of the best coaches in the country.

Hope this means JUB is allowed access back with the athletic department. I've read his books and taken his classes at UM, and I have to say that no one I know, including myself, bleeds more for Michigan than this man right here.

As a 21 year old Michigan fan who has been a fan since I was around 7 years old. I think the first year I can remember watching Michigan was around 2000-2001. I can remember a time when Michigan was really good and won the Big Ten and won Rose Bowls, but I was really too young to remember it all that well.

I really started getting into following Michigan football/recruiting obsessively around 2007. Since then, it has really been nothing but eventual disappointment to be a Michigan fan. Some nice moments for sure, but we have never had a moment to be proud of without an embaressing failure surely to follow (think 2011 Sugar Bowl win followed by Alabama loss). It has been a rough go for most of my Michigan fandom.

Now, obviously Harbaugh isnt official and this could all be another highlight in a growing line of spectatular disappointments, but this is the most excited I have ever been to be a Michigan football fan. Yes, the last 9 years of UM football have sucked major balls, but if it werent for all that suckage, I wouldnt appreaciate a good Michigan team the way I would if Harbaugh can turn this thing around and return us to glory (or really anyone, but lets just go with Harbaugh here for the sake of things). I can completely understand if some of the longer tenured fans here feel differently about this, but with all the crap football Michigan has played for most of my lifetime, I will never take a winning team for granted again. I will never take a win over MSU for granted again. And I will certainly not take any wins over Ohio State for granted again (not that I ever have).

Now, lets hopefully finalize this thing already, watch Harbaugh's boys kick some ass, and be a football school again (yeah, sorry, this hoops team blows. trey burke was fun, but im totally over the whole "basketball school" thing)

Serious question, I thought JUB was disavowed as a source or something.  Not trying to be a downer because I think it is happening.  I have heard things to that affect but I also miss a lot of stuff on the board because the Army takes a lot of my time.

I know he is a professor and has written books on Michigan but I heard he has lost his credentials.  Just looking for some background if anyone could clarify for me.  Things are about to get crazy nuts around here and I can't wait.  Worked out well I that I was forced to take some leave, I was in use or lose.
