A Team to be Proud Of
Overall, I'm proud of the guys.
We went into this game without our #1 running back, with all the issues we've been facing, inexperience, lack of talent, etc... against a top 10 team, facing a veteran coach, entrenched offensive system, highly rated athletes at all positions and effectively went toe to toe with them. We gained the same yardage (318 to 309) and if not for some major mistakes would have had a great shot to win this game.
I'm excited to see this team develop next year and beyond and am confident Rich Rod will be able to get the job done.
Just look at today, the team performed at the level of Tressel's team with much inferior talent and experience.

Nuck, I envy you. I'm glad you took so much positive out of today. Maybe I'll be there in a day, a week, a month. After watching the first half, I thought it would be much worse, so I will give credit for that. It was not our worst performance of the year, and I can't say that a full effort wasn't given. It must be really hard to be a player right now, because it ain't easy being a fan. I just can't get over the fact that our only conference win was against Indiana.

Have you been paying attention the past few weeks? The same defense that gave up 30+ to Illinois held anOSU to 21 points, seven of which came off a dumb freshman mistake from Tate.
The defense played with fire and grit today, and our offense was rolling against the best defense in the conference. We were equal or very close to equal in total yards with the Buckeyes.
Rich Rod's gameplan was excellent and GERG's schemes looked pretty good today. If Tate doesn't fumble for the TD and throw the pick at the goal line, we win.
If this is what RR does with our current talent level, I think OSU fans are going to be shitting in their Depends when we field a veteran offense and an improved D.

Yeah, "much worse." I felt that OSU was sticking to a slow-and-steady game plan and that they were capable of doing a lot more damage. I expected them to open it up and and take it to us. Our D impressed me because I thought it could be much worse. What I learned after PSU, Illinois, Purdue and Wisconsin is that our Defense can be torched. I guess that's not the lesson you took out of this season.

I was expecting this to be much uglier. The Maize and Blue played great today, and if it weren't for a few costly mistakes, we would have come out on top. Our defense was very good today, and it was really the offensive turnovers that sealed our fate. Congratulations to the Buckeyes, who were the better team today. Our Wolverines have a bright future ahead, next season should be much better.
