You sure you want Les Miles as your Coach?

If you saw the end of the LSU-Ole Miss game I am sure you would have deep second thoughts.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in college football history. Plus, after watching Ole Miss on that last drive I'll take our Defense please!

LSU won the 2007 championship mostly because the voters had to put someone in the title game after everyone lost in November, and they happened to be at the top of the rotation (along with OSU) despite two regular-season losses. No other team in history has ever lost twice in the regular season and still ended up #1.

My brother tried to explain to me how we should've hired Les Miles today after UM lost. I say, Rich Rod may have done/not done a lot of things...but he hasn't done that.

Even if you buy his excuse that he didn't have time to get the field goal unit on the field (which obviously means he didn't have them ready to run on the field because he assumed time would run out on the hail mary...oops), there is absolutely no excuse to spike the ball with one second left. Laughable.

Compounding the error, the only reason they were in that situation in the first place is because he didn't immediately call time out after the previous play was stuffed for a loss in-bounds. What the hell was he waiting for? You clearly are going to call a time out there to set up SOMETHING for that 4th and long, and who cares if you leave time on the clock for the other team if you don't make it? You're losing! The other team runs out the clock regardless!

I remember him making some true gambling decisions at the end of two of the games that I saw at least. At the time I thought it was stupid, but who could argue with the season they were having. They recruit some major talent there at LSU, and I expect them to be very good because of that, but I'm not impressed with Les as a coach. He might be an awesome recruiter, very passionate type of coach, but I wouldn't consider him one of the great minds of the game.

Before the 00:09 mark when he waited 10-15 seconds without taking the time out, that was stupid as all hell. The term "EPIC FAIL" should be saved for moments like this.

All of the alleged fans can stop whining about how 'They should have hired Les Miles' after they see this. Terrible clock management, and why didn't they run the kicker out on the field once they knew the pass was caught?

LSU threw a hail mary with like 9 seconds left. It was caught but not in the end zone. Because it was a first down, the clock was stopped with .01 left. That's when Les Miles did NOT run in the field goal team but had the QB spike the ball. Of course, that took at least 1 second and ended the game.

I don't know, but if there wasn't enough time, they should have run an offensive play. They snapped the ball with one second remaining and tried to spike it. No timekeeper not named Spartan Bob will allow a play to take place in zero seconds.

they had time to get the field goal team on the field. Just have a linemen jump offsides and make contact without snapping the ball, take the penalty get your kicker on the field. Biggest WTF I've seen all year!

Not a huge Les Miles fan for either UofM or LSU. The guy has too much bravado and not alot of coaching savvy (based on the past three years). I will take RichRod and the next two seasons over Coach Miles. Although I'm not completely sold on RichRod, I truly believe that next year will be a watershed season for the Men in Blue! Go Blue!!

Who wanted Les Miles? A bunch of "old guard" blue-hair types and nobody else. Give me Gary Patterson, Bryan Kelly or Jim Harbaugh IF RR doesn't pan out.

He wasted 20 second not calling a timeout after a failed screen pass setting them back, which was preceded by a risky pass play resulting in a sack at a time when they were already in field goal range. There was justice, though, because Ole Miss deserved the game. I never like it when someone steals a game on an on side kick.
