What Michigan Football Means Student Video
I enjoyed this.

This brings back great memories of living on campus and waking up with excitement on game day. I really feel kind of bad for students that haven't been able to experience a competitive football team. I got treated to a 40-9 record, a National Championship, Charles Woodson, Tom Brady, regular visits from College Game Day, etc. The list goes on and on. I loved it back then. In hindsight, I probably took the success for granted.

I long for the past too. Will the football team ever get back to a level we saw years ago?

They'll be back to being good again. Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Alabama, Nebraska, and Notre Dame have all had down years. The only one not to recover and win again is Notre Dame.

So our Engineering Department can capture the essence of Michigan Football better than our Athletic Department? Please show Mr. Lochmann the exit door and get some of these engineers who understand students down to the Athletic Campus immediately.

I know one engineer who really understands Michigan football...

Our CMO for God sake should sit and watch this.
BTW all this quiet on the CC front screams Harbaugh to me!

of DB's hires who still work in the Michigan AD should be shown this video. If they spontaneously break out into singing "The Victors", keep 'em. If they break out into a nervous sweat (or worse yet, spontaneously combust, as Lochdogg likely will), they're gone!

Being such a true fan in having so little to cheer for over the past few years. Going to the Rose Bowl was the highlight of my social collegiate experience.

+1, gave me the chills!

It tok me a lot longer to figure it out.

Happy weekend. Harbaugh?

Very real. The emotion was palpable. Bravo Blues Brother.
Go Blue!

Really is a very well-done, real take on what it means to be a Michigan fan and how this department has lost track of that.

Thank u for posting. What a great kid who loves his university. I urge all on this blog to take a few minutes to watch.

Great video. The message spot on. Tickets have risen x3 since 1990. Crazy when you think about where college football is headed. Now they want playoffs and I'm sure when this isn't perfect they'll want to expand the playoffs.
I was never ever for paying college athletes. I have always felt the degree was a air trade off. However, it's getting to the point where there is so much revenue to be made and so insignificant enforcing bodies and punishments that it's like the Wild West. College football is no longer the same entity. To paraphrase Cardell, "why do we have to go to class? Class is dumb. We came here to play football." Despite the fact I completely disagree with him ethically, he really is right.

"Just becasue you can get people to pay does not mean you should"

The fact the kid looked like he was literally going to tear up when he started talking about DB and the new policies... Do you get it yet, Hunter Lochmann?

"Wow...I mean wow. That was seriously powerful stuff. Can you imagine the corporate tie-in possibilities here? We could start a whole sponsored YouTube channel with senior tributes. Chobani will want in on this for sure...do you think we could work in Grumpy Cat somehow?"

Sounds like another hackett smokescreen to me

Excellent representation of what it means to be a student/fan at Michigan. These are the values this program was built on and need to embrace more than ever. Well done Blues Brothers.

This prefectly encapsulates precisely how I felt on my last game as a student. Unfortunately, my four years consisted of App. State, blown bowl streak, and a dismantling at the hands of MSU (NTMSU). Nevertheless, I remember saying the same thing to all of my friends that were habitually tardy to kickoff or didn't even bother to come:
Do you realize how fortunate you are? You have, at most, 32 games to watch in the Big House as a student at the University of Michigan. Don't ever take it for granted, because never again will you have the opportunity to say that you are a member of the Big House student section.

Michigan Football means a lot to me. I chose Michigan for the academics, perfect college town and great football. Otherwise I would have gone to Penn or Emory...but Michigan is a special place and football and those winged helmets are a huge part of that appeal.

This reminds me, the guy who plays the drums and rhymes on Hoover won't be back next year unfortunately. On my way out after the Maryland game he was drumming and rhyming about how he has to leave to move to LA and this is his last game. I think he's been doing it over a decade now.

Detroit sports legend, that's a shame.

Chills. Reminiscent of my final home game. I still miss game days.
