CC: Is there any scenario where Jim Harbaugh is NOT the best candidate?

So over the past week we've heard practically every rumor possible about our coaching search.  It's a given that 99.9% of them are BS.  That being said, if any of this stuff were to be true, say there is some "white whale" coaching prospect out there that is somewhat or totally off the radar that Hackett could land, is there any scenario where Harbaugh could end up NOT being the best candidate?  Is there anyone out there that could possibly come available that would be a better fit here right now than Harbaugh?

This is obviously totally idle speculation.  But I figured we're pretty burned out on talking about Jim at the moment.  Who, if he were to come available, would we be willing to say, "Thanks Jim, but we're going in a different direction" for?  Is there anyone?

If Greg Schiano were to legally change his name to Jim Harbaugh and Jim Harbaugh decided henceforth to simply be known as Corkey, then technically yes Jim Harbaugh would no longer be the best candidate.

This is one of the more interesting cc threads in the last few days. I don't know who would be better, but I'm concerned that we're all anointing Harbaugh. If he experiences any normal transitional struggles or is anything short of Saban, I think people will be crushed, which is phenomenally stupid,

Tier 1a: Saban. College football God. If you could lure him with college football's first $8M salary, do it.

Tier 1b: Jim & Chip Kelly

Alabama boosters bought Nick's house because they understand the guy is constantly courted and there's never a gaurantee he stays. I can't see him going to a program that isn't a power house. Athletic revenue in order: Texas, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State. Who knows, maybe he's bored of all the winning in Alabama, longs for one last rebuild, and wouldn't mind retiring to a mansion and a yacht and dinners with super chef Mario Batalli in Traverse City?

There are some risks with Harbaugh as HC, the most prominent one being that he would likely be looking to get back to the NFL soon. I wouldn't have a problem with that if he stayed at least 3-4 years.

Only if Chip Kelly, Nick Saban or Bill Belichick are interested for some reason. Maybe Gus Malzahn or Gary Patterson. But obviously none of these are close to reality.

He has lost the locker room in San Fransisco.  Also he hasn't been able to do anything on offense this year which might not be what we want.  His resume in the longterm though he appears to be the best canidate.
