Dude. Try the Pumpkinmudgeon if they still have it. It is amazing. 12.9% bourbon barrel aged version of the old curmudgeon with nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice added. It is really good.

I love Winter White, do you like Bells Christmas Ale? I find it to be a nice change of pace...
December 5th, 2014 at 8:03 PM ^
It's pretty good, as I recall. Haven't had one in a while, but I'll have to use your reminder as an excuse to pick some up.

Dr. Pepper.
I told my kids I drink it because they support college football. Now that's all they can talk about "My Dad drinks Dr. Pepper because they support college football!"
For some reason they find that fascinating.

I've got a bottle of Alamos sitting here. Nice Malbec indeed, in my opinion.
Later, if I am still conscious, I will probably break into the supply of Marques de Caceres. It seems like a wine sort of evening.
December 5th, 2014 at 7:13 PM ^
If you are a Malbec type, try the Catena if you haven't yet.

Rolling Stone published about rape at UVA that RS is now walking back.
WTF?!? Nice job, RS. They "misplaced" trust in a source for the story.
POS rag.

I think you and I probably have similar tastes in scotch. Great dram
December 5th, 2014 at 8:03 PM ^
I only drink Islays, no other scotch does it for me. As my grandfathers people came from the mainland just accross the straight from Islay, I think it is genetic.
December 5th, 2014 at 8:31 PM ^
I greatly prefer them, but I noticed the peat started to dissipate to my palate so I started drinking highlands and Japanese whiskey so that when I do drink Isleys the past still punches me in the teeth.
December 5th, 2014 at 9:28 PM ^
I actually have noticed this too recently. I usually step back to some dewars to cleanse the pallet. Have you tried Black Bottle, it is a blend, but only uses Islay malts to blend with the grain? Super smokey and $23 bucks at A&L Wine Castle on Stadium.
