Fired not resigned!

I like Hackett so far - he's handled the firing with some class and the right way (looking at you Nebraska). Lets hope he continues to deliver with hiring the right *cough* Harbaugh *cough* coach.

Edit: NOOOO! DeBord is in charge. But... YES! No chance he's going to be the coach!

I just wish he had AD experience to kind of calm the masses that he's the one making the decision for the next coach. However, he's been pretty impressive this afternoon with how he's answered questions, how he handled things with Hoke and how he's illustrated how he will go about making the next hire.

Well, I was VERY impressed with Hackett today.  The points about the swim lanes & what "Michigan Man" really means, were just awesome.

I like that the coordinators contracts are still being honored. We have damn good ones and would suck to lose them. Nuss kicked ass where he has gone and one year isn't enough. Especially with QB play the way it went. Give him a chance.

Hackett handled that press conference beautifully, and with dignity.

I like that he gave Hoke props for what he did right, and I like that he said that we also need success on the field, that we need both things.

I'm glad he spoke to the players directly. I'm glad that he spoke to the President and to Hoke. I like that he said that you don't change someone's life without thinking very carefully about it. This is something one never heard from Brandon.

I must say that I'm impressed with how the man takes care of business.

Could it be more obvious, or was i just imagining that smirk and look of confidence so hard that he was trying to cover up how excited he was to announce the new coach?
