When we all awaited the firing of RR, but Brandon just met with him, and the news wasn't broken until the next day (may even have been 2 days later; can't remember for sure)

But yeah, who holds a press conference to announce that a guy under contract for next year will coach next year?!

Time to pull the plug.

is it kind of like, if they hire somebody now, Harbaugh wasn't interested, but if they wait and wait and wait without comment until February, we assume Harbaugh is in the bag?

No drinking. General Order #1

@MGoManBall - It was our Airedale, George. Sadly he passed from cancer last year. Best/most fun dog I ever had. When we return to the States we're definitely getting another. If it's half the dog George was, they'll be great.

@at RobSK- I know. I re-read it, snickered at myself and hit "save" anyway .

They're not that awful when there's actual sports to talk about.  But since we're dealing with the dregs of Detroit sports radio, Gregg Henson's Twitter account is rife with speculation on who wants who.  He's talking about John Wangler filling Terry Foster's head with Les Miles speculation.  I believe zero percent of it, but one funny tidbit is that Les is already reaching out to Detroit HS coaches.

They are letting him tell the players at 3 in person and then having a press conference? What about a Nebraska-style impersonal email to the players? #MichiganDifference

I'm not saying that what they did at Nebraska was right, but it's not like Michigan is somehow redefining class. Hoke didn't say goodbye to his players at SDSU and before that, he split from his alma mater before the bowl game to go to SDSU. Michigan difference, hah, that's a real high horse there.

What I'm saying is that there's no point in puffing your chest out about the integrity of how you handle firing your coach. A bag of shit is what it is regardless of whether or not it has a bow on it. The Michigan Difference should be used to describe Beilein honoring Hatch's scholarship, or Devin Gardner wishing JT Barrett well after he gets hurt, NOT describing letting your coach say goodbye to his players in person after he gets fired. That's a basic courtesy, and despite Nebraska's admin being assholes, that's an exception, not the rule.
