Valenti, Rosenberg, and Wilbon killed a stripper!

Disturbed by 2 things:
1. Someone made up this sort of story - I want to be several degrees removed from the person who thinks these things
2. That someone was a Michigan fan
November 18th, 2009 at 3:41 PM ^
That's not even close to the best fake laugh.
November 18th, 2009 at 3:42 PM ^
You son of a bitch....had to one up me, didnt ya? lol.
November 18th, 2009 at 4:16 PM ^
Wayne Brady the weather guy?
November 18th, 2009 at 8:30 PM ^
Is Wayne Brady gonna hafta choke a bitch?

Nice. That actually was a good bit of satire. However, I think this board is wound up tighter than Rod Farva eating at a fast food restaurant. I don't know when its going to be, but sometime in the next three days Mgoboard is going to find a hole in his cup and and go apeshit.
November 18th, 2009 at 4:02 PM ^
..but I'll bet the team is a lot more "wound up" for Saturday. It's all good.
November 18th, 2009 at 4:09 PM ^
Yes, excellent satire. Not meant to be taken seriously. I'd compare to Swift's "A Modest Proposal," the classic satirical piece suggested eating infants as a solution to famine.

I do enjoy my Juvenalian satire, sprinkled with a healthy dose of crossing the line. It's especially entertaining to me when the reaction is calling out my Michigan man-ness and inferring that I'm on par with an MSU grad. I guess I'd be a good little "Michigan Man" if I simply went to Yost and yelled out strings of profanity when the opposing team takes a penalty. I'd probably come across as more clever in the eyes of some as well.
November 18th, 2009 at 7:22 PM ^
... if those chants in Yost involved the beating of unattractive birthgivers with racks of lamb, you'd TOTALLY have a point
November 18th, 2009 at 5:36 PM ^
Excellent hyperbole, funkmob. I'd compare to Pryor's defense of Michael Vick, the classic hyperbolic piece suggesting that "everybody kills people, murders people, steals from people."
Well done.

First of all, Swift's satire is an attack on contemporary methods of rationalization. His approach was complex, managing to keep a reasonable tone even as he ventured into the absurd. This OP did nothing of the kind. All it did was skip straight to highly explicit barbaric activity.
Second of all, Swift was funny. The OP is not.

Thank you for the clarification, professor.
November 18th, 2009 at 3:40 PM ^
That story wasn't funny, it was just disgusting and like blueblueblue said, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the person who writes that sort of thing.
How about changing the story to, "Wilbon, Rosenberg, and Valenti have dolphin punching party".
November 18th, 2009 at 3:42 PM ^
This whole Freep Jihad thing reminds me of the Family Guy episode where Stewie ties up the family and Peter decides to come up with a rumor to allieviate the boredom. He said that Rob Schneider pays migrant workers at Home Depot to come home with him and choke him in the shower. Rosenberg said that Rich Rod is a dirty, cheating fraud.
November 18th, 2009 at 4:05 PM ^
But I'm leaning more towards "uh, gross," than "hilarious, brah."
Although to be fair, being that I'm not an MSU grad, I rarely lean towards, "hilarious, brah." But still.

The headline is supposed to read:
Valenti, Rosenberg and Wilbon Kill Stripper;
Rich Rodriguez Not Currently Said To Be Involved
November 18th, 2009 at 4:31 PM ^
Two thoughts:
1. Who is Drew Rosenberg?
2. Does the poster know the law of libel in Michigan?
November 18th, 2009 at 4:35 PM ^
Can't believe I didn't catch that. Apparently I had Drew Sharp on my mind.
As for libel, I didn't really consider it. Mostly because I just don't care. That being said, if my words can somehow get this blog in any trouble I'm more than willing to take it down or have it taken down for me.
November 18th, 2009 at 4:57 PM ^
... if you don't care.
You can Google "defamation per se" if you'd like; look at #4 on the list...
Just remember that hiding behind an "anonymous" posting doesn't mean you're necessarily anonymous for long:
November 18th, 2009 at 5:22 PM ^
Serious???
November 18th, 2009 at 5:34 PM ^
If you really think this is libel, I think you should go after more egregious offenders like The Onion or The Every Three Weekly.
November 18th, 2009 at 5:26 PM ^
That leg of lamb should be pretty damn tender.
November 18th, 2009 at 5:28 PM ^
You had me at "leg of a lamb"
November 18th, 2009 at 5:48 PM ^
God forbid we make an ad hominem attack on Valenti and use the magic word and you get banned by Brian.
The OP survives and I GET BANNED...
A double standard exists on this board.
November 18th, 2009 at 6:05 PM ^
Your point total astonishes me.
November 18th, 2009 at 6:11 PM ^
it is pretty cool isn't it? I call Valenti a word that rhymes with fartina and BAM!
November 18th, 2009 at 7:20 PM ^
i've sat here for 5 minutes trying to think of a word that rhymes with fartina...
Mulva?
November 18th, 2009 at 7:41 PM ^
Delores?
November 19th, 2009 at 7:53 PM ^
Mulva?
November 18th, 2009 at 5:44 PM ^
Stupid, not funny and OT.
November 18th, 2009 at 7:24 PM ^
A leg of lamb? Who was their accomplice, Fred Flinstone?
November 18th, 2009 at 7:42 PM ^
I'm not bothered by the fact that this is uncoothe, I'm more bothered by the fact that it's not clever or creative.
November 18th, 2009 at 8:04 PM ^
It manages to be highly vulgar and offensive without even managing to be in the least bit funny. I sincerely hope that you didn't go to Michigan, because if you did, it is a black mark on the school. Please don't post anything like this ever again.
Normally, I would not be so explicit in my criticisms, so as to avoid offending the author of the OP too much. However, as he goes out of his way to be offensive in the first place, I think its warranted.
