"Weekend visitors" thread

Submitted by Brian on

It got deleted not because of any content but because it could be a tiny recruiting violation. TomVH has confirmed that CA RB Dillon Baxter and CA WR Kenny Stills will be visiting this weekend.

I know, I know, they don't play defense.

While at UofM and living in an apt. on Hill St., we were given 2 huge wheels of brie cheese. One of my roommate's moms, who was a reporter in DC, iirc, gave him (and by extension, all three of us,) two of these massive things from France, more than 15 inches in diameter. We thanked our good fortune. At first. However, we quickly discovered, there is only so much Brie one can eat. It wasn't great on sandwiches. And without an internet search engines available in the late 70's, it was tough finding recipes that included the stuff. Even today, there aren't many foods that include it as an ingredient. Besides, at that time, we were more of the beer and chips crowd, not wine and brie.

Before too long, the entire apartment reeked of Brie. Everyone who came through the door would get a strange, troubled look on their face, wrinkle their nose, sniff, and ask, "what is that smell?" Even worse, if you ate too much of it, Brie had certain, umm, odoriferous effects on the lower intestinal tract. Not something you would eat much of before a date.

We discovered novel uses for the stinky white cheese. Forming a one inch ball of the Brie, and placing it in a funnel sling shot, provided hours of cheap entertainment. I'm sure that the apartment complex maintenance man wondered what in the world gunked up some of the window screens and was stuck up on the exterior brick walls. It was definitely a case of "too much of a good thing. . . "

Could you edit the title to make the content a little clearer? I clicked on this thinking I would see a thread concerning who was visiting this weekend.

Dude, people, get your shit together on posting correctly. It's not that hard.
