Hoke Post-game presser

Submitted by MgoBlueprint on

This is the most distant and detached Hoke has been during his tenure in A2, maybe its because hes now fully aware that "he gone".

What the most struck me as especially odd during the press conference was when someone asked him about Delano Hill. Hoke just gave an awkward series of "yes" and "no's" to the questions about Delano. I think the reporter asked if he was injured or hurt a few different ways. Hoke repeatedly responded with "yes" and "now" before giving way to an awkward smile that keeping from saying something that he may have wanted to.

It was just weird. Did anyone else notice that?

Have you not noticed how much damage he has caused to the Michigan Football program over the last 3 years, or are you as clueless as him?!?!  I like many other fans pay good money to see a respectable product.  I do not have delusions of going 12-0 every year, and that anything else is a disappointment, but to see carefully how inept we have become under his leadership (if you can call it that) is OUTRAGEOUS!  If he really loved this program, he wold have stepped down after last year.

that he is in over his head or many of your other points and you are free to voice them of course - this is the place for that.  I was just commenting that we as fans might show a little compassion for this guy who tried his best and came up short.  It really doesn't take any effort at all and nothing we say is going to have any effect on this situation.

You are right about the compassion part, but it should be shown towards the players, not to the $4 million a year HC who has FAILED them and us miserably for the last 3 years.  These kids came here and trusted him that he would help them improve their skills and that with hard work and good coaching they may also be part of Michigan lore by at last winning a B1G title and/or go to a Rose Bowl, they did not bargain for this train wreck that he has presided over.  Head coaching is a business and he has been compensated like a top 10 coach, but his results for the last 3 years have been nothing like that.

I thought the last question was, "Will he be available next week?" To which Hoke replied, "No."

It really sounded as if Hill was suspended for the remainder of the season.

but after a few listens the question was "regarding Delano Hill, is he suspended or-", to which hoke said yes. The journalist than responded, "so he is suspended", which gave to Hoke nodding his head and giving a thumbs up. The reporter tried to ask another (the same) question but he continued to nod his head anticipating the next question.

He doesn't deserve to have his name associated with ours anymore. I am so pissed, thanks Hoke for making out team be nothing more than an average MAC team Edit: and whoever negged me.... Screw you

some of the powerhouses that beat him (or should have):

Akron, Uconn, Northwestern 2013 version, Iowa 2013 version, this year's mediocre Notre Dame, a Utah team that just got throttled by Arizona, Rutgers, and Maryland.

Wow...typing that made me sad.

"More angry, more sad than we could imagine." OK, some people are being dicks in this thread, but this is just over the top sentimentality, besides terrible grammar.

Yes, this is his dream job, but he got to coach here for 4 years and make millions and millions of dollars. He is not angrier and sadder than I can imagine, he's not even angrier and sadder than I've been in the last month, nor is he angrier and sadder than I'd guess anyone on this board can imagine. If this is the worst Hoke has ever felt, he's had the luckiest life. I wish it had worked out, but I don't get why I'm supposed to feel bad for the guy.

The Dave and Brady fiasco comes to an end. Tough for the players. Tough for us Wolverines.

The future beckons. Go Blue!
