Surprised this hasn't made the board yet.  Just based on one guy's "sources," but this has been picked up by the major media, and obviously could have implications on our ability to get Mullen should we go after him.

I'd be shocked if Mullen wanted to come here. He had to see how the fanbase treated RichRod for not running an offense suited for the 1970s, and he'd probably have to overhaul the entire roster anyway.

I think he's back in Starkville next year.

I agree with your conclusion (RR didn't work out because he lost too much), but there were issues before the losing, including a number of "culture" issues that were exacerbated by losing. But those issues were not caused by losing, Then again, winning quiets a lot of critics.

I'm honestly not sold on Mullen. I've had this feeling for a little bit, but a good example of why I have skepticism is the alabama game. The offensive playcalling (I know this can be also blamed on the OC, but mullen is an offensive coach so he deserves blame as well) in the game made me scratch my head and wonder what the hell they were doing more than once.

Our CC if it happens should obviously start behind the scenes with both Harbaugh's. I would then call Bob Stoops...I think he could be a homerun hire. Miles would be next, he'd be a definite upgrade on Hoke but I think he's risky. Jim Mcelwain would be a guy I'd take a risk on, he has high potential IMO.

Harbaugh may be sick of NFL player attitudes. So he may just come back as our coach if the price is right!  For 5-6 Million, his wife would leave CA. My 2nd choice would be Miles, then Bob Stoops, then Mullen.

I just want a coach that will run a system that puts the players in the best position to succeed, instead of trying to shoehorn them into a preordained system that doesn't match their strengths.
