I felt bad for the Michigan players having to wear the dark blue in the oppresive heat.  At least VA got to wear white.  I swear it made a difference.

I remember thinking "How can the players even function in helmets, pads, and dark jerseys?  I'm in shorts and a white T-shirt and I need a nap."

While not a top ten play over the course of the stadium's history, Kenny Demens saying "NO" to Tyrus Jones on 4th and 2 was a pretty damn nice play to end that particular game.

Nice video though - one of the cool things about this is remembering how you felt in the moment for the ones that you were there to personally witness (for me, The Timmy Show, Braylonfest, both Desmond games, The Woodson Return, TOUCHDOWN MANNINGHAM!, and as a kid, the Harbaugh bomb)

Title of segment is plays not games.

It was a great play.

At the time I thought that was a huge win for that team. And that play turned it around.

More than one play but I loved the 96 MSU game where Michigan scored 21 points in like a minute and a half.

Henson to Terrel against Wisc. was a good one too.

What's everyone's top Defensive plays?

Here are some:

- Any one of the picks against #1 Miami in '84,

- Forced fumble and recovery against OSU in '77

- Forced fumble and recovery against iowa in '86

- Stanley Jackson's Big Housewarming gift in '97 (miss you XOXOXO)

- Not a play, but the complete domination and shut-out of OSU in '93

- 2 point stop of ILL in OT in '10

- OT stop of MSU in '04 Braylonfest

- Tommy Rees passumble recovery in '11 UTL to start the comeback

I'll post more as I think of them.  What 'cha got?

Recency bias.

Don't worry, they probably had some "Top Michigan Moments" radio poll in the 1940's that completely ignored Yost's 1900's teams.

And there was probably a newspaper poll in the 1900's that ignored all those great 1800's teams.

Everybody always thinks their era is the only one that counts.

Wow...you mean there used to be excitement around this program?  Thanks for the flashbacks...great memories.  The only problem is that now I'm even more depressed to see where this program used to be and how far it has fallen to the point where Michigan football is now pretty much irrelevant.

I'd like to give an honorable mention to the game-winning TD against Notre Dame in 1999, and the subsequent defensive stop to seal it. Was there for that one!

EDIT: after running to YouTube really quick (thanks as always, WolverineHistorian!), I see that it wasn't quite as dramatic as I recall...I forgot they actually completed their last pass and simply ran out of time. I was thinking there was a pass batted down in end zone to end the game. We were in the student section and the action was down in front of the south end zone, all we could really be sure of was the crowd reaction. I'm sure at the time I soon found out what had happened, but apparently 15 years is enough to get a little hazy...

I know this was produced by UM, but I was expecting at least one play from another team. How can you list "best plays in michigan stadium" and not include the Colorado Hail Mary?
