Equipment: Michigan to wear pink gear Saturday (confirmed).....

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Not only was the loss last week annoying but them not wearing the pink gear like I had said was a big egg on my face. I figured since it was their last October game, they would wear it then since that actual makes sense.

Well, it looks like they're going with the option that makes no sense.

Michigan will wear their pink gear on Saturday for breast cancer awareness month. Saturday is November. Breast cancer awareness month is October.

Unless Michigan plans on wearing white socks at home for the first time since UTL I, they will not be wearing these:

By the looks of this picture tweeted by @umichfootball

they'll be wearing a new version of the pink gloves. I have not seen these anywhere on the internet.

Also, Michigan will wear a non-Maize or White mouthguard for the first time. We're getting closer to touching the actual uniforms, people.

Here's the coaches gear that was posted recently

Notice how as soon as fans plan to wear white to advocate for Brandon's removal the AD suddenly wants the fans to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness?  Funny how that happens.  Just like the other athletes suddenly becoming vocal supporters of DB on twitter and seing the team off.

When Breast Cancer Awareness month is October.  That's perfect.

From next week's press conference:  "Well, I was really pleased with the gear  and it looked entirely appropriate during Oct. 27-31 practices, but was not well-executed at game time.  We're going to need to look at that."

Hey, that whole "breast cancer awareness month" thing in Oct?  Yeah, let's do it in Nov so we can be cool like everyone else.  This is why I really hate the pink on the uniform thing.  It's not about awareness, it's all about selling merchandise.

Well, none of the schools we traveled to in October were having breast cancer awareness day, so we couldn't do it on the road. And our only home game this month was UTLIII, and sales of uniformz obviously trumps breast cancer awareness. So November it is.

I had a dream last night I was at the game and tried starting a fire brandon chant. I also tried starting the wave. I looked at this group of students one section over who kept messing up and thought to myself, "freshmen." Dreams are weird.

I think any time is a good time to raise awareness.

I'm not sure pink gloves actually does anything, but whatever.

Also, I think it was smart not to look like this while getting our ass kicked by MSU.

Everything is dumb.

At least with the game being in November instead of October, we're that much closer to the Year of Infinite Stupid wrapping up.

So we'll lose AND look tacky doing it, in the wrong month to boot.

We're kind of reaching the point where Hollywood writers are reviewing this season for comedic material.

This isn't the year of infinite pain.  That already happened.

This year has had plenty of pain, but a different term is warranted for the smorgasborg of negative emotions in this one.  Pain, frustration, anger, embarrassment. . . it even blurs into apathy and bemusement.

I'd call it the Year of Gonorrhea.  It started with an attractive promise, brief bliss, then rapidly descended into embarrassment, scandal and extreme discomfort.  Now we're desperate for a cure.

Considering that ebola is the virus of the day and it causes people to die from dehydration brought about my uncontrollable diarrhea, I'd say this is the Year of Infinite Diarrhea, what with all the sh*t coming from Brandon, it makes sense.
