Tate issues??????
Forgive me as I have not been on tonight, but my Sparty friends have been emailing and texting like crazy about some rumors about Tate. First it was pot then it was his Dad was pissed at RichRod. According to them, Tate's facebook says it was his worst day ever. I am hoping it is all a bunch of trolls doing things. Could someone please elaborate if they know more. Thanks.

...are you talking about?
...your Sparty friends have been emailing you?
November 11th, 2009 at 10:43 PM ^
His FB said he had a rough day or something to that effect.
Whoop-dee-damn-doo, it happens. Let the kid live his life.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:44 PM ^
Needs more question marks.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:44 PM ^
something going on dont you think you see something within a quick 1 minute search? And really? Sparty friends would have an inside scoop on something like that?
November 11th, 2009 at 10:45 PM ^
bad day at practice, or training table gave him the shits. The guy had a bad day. It'll happen from time to time.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:45 PM ^
Tate is the Messiah....probably tripped when he was down by the river...walking on the water.

I don't do facebook and haven't been on any other sites. I am assuming it was some troll ploy, but apparently there were a bunch of threads discussing all of this on the Fort and Mlive and then it all went clear. Just inquiring.

My best friend was born and raised a buckeye fan... He sent me a text a week and a half ago while I was at work telling me that Les Miles was coming to Michigan and a bunch of dogshit stuff... Never trust your rivals until you hear it here on MgoBlog, then you'll know theirs some credibility behind what they are saying...
November 12th, 2009 at 12:04 AM ^
You're absolutely right about the post. As soon as he posted he had like 20 comments, and Tate actually replied to a comment on the thread with, "Got bitched at like no other today. It was unreal!" This comment has since been deleted...And no, I'm not stalking him on Facebook I just happened to look at the thread and was taken aback that he would respond with that (since deleted) comment.

Dropped three straight, outrageous early season Heisman talk has been replaced by discussions as to the fastest driving routes that Devin Gardner can use to get to Ann Arbor, and several man-beast Buckeyes day-dreaming about the best angle for decapitation. I think he will be fine based upon what I've seen on the field, but I think a little angst should be expected given the circumstances.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:45 PM ^
Tate discovered that MGoBlog was down.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:48 PM ^
To you my friend...the fact that MGoBlog was down made my day at work go by a lot slower.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:49 PM ^
yeah man, I had nothing to distract me from studying for my midterm tomorrow... it was horrible lol
November 11th, 2009 at 10:46 PM ^
...you have been warned
November 11th, 2009 at 10:48 PM ^
Maybe.... just maybe he had a bad day for reasons completely unrelated to his relationship with the university of michigan football program? I know I'm sounding like Glen Beck here, but college students are entitled to have a bad day from time to time
November 11th, 2009 at 10:57 PM ^
Tate taking the virginity of 999 blonde virgins instead of the promised 1000? ESPN was the first to break the story and sent a redhead. That would piss me off.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:51 PM ^
If you are referring to me as a troll, you are misinformed. Why would I be a member since June 2008 to plant this.
I simply asked a question regarding some info presented to me and I wondered if it was the work of trolls or any truth to it.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:56 PM ^
...if that is in fact the case sir. It simply occurred to more than one of us that you were the only individual on the internets with that particular quarterback scoop.
stay thirsty my friend...

1) your icon is of Vandy, meaning that you may be a casual M follower (not fan).
2) you may be among the people that wants RR gone and wants to get more people against him
3) you have no credible source, link, anything to backup your OP.
4) you have an incendiary title to your post.
Generally, those are signs of a troll, and just because you were a member for 1.5 years means pretty much nothing (93 points).
November 12th, 2009 at 9:50 AM ^
Don't think he's a troll. Guy just came on to clarify stuff friends were saying. There's clearly some merit to it
November 11th, 2009 at 10:56 PM ^
and asked them if they heard about Nichol and Cousins getting caught together by a state trooper in that rest stop bathroom stall earlier tonight. You heard it here first.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:00 PM ^
Who knows, I may be the laughing stock of all the brah's over on RCMB. I apologize for any stress this caused. As I said, I was just trying to check and see if the rumors had any merit.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:55 PM ^
Whoa...you have Sparty friends?
Step one: Rid yourself of Sparties.
Step two: Profit.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:58 PM ^
If you live in the state of Michigan, it's kind of hard not to. Unless of course, you have no friends.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:59 PM ^
Meh, I was kind of joking, but in the fall I seriously have to tell all my Spartan family and friends to just not talk to me, because it always devolves into a convo about football, which between passionate OSU-UM fans or UM-MSU fans devolves into a yelling match.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:02 PM ^
Most of my Sparty friends are basketball fans, so I don't really have it that bad.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:21 PM ^
I thought it was:
Step one: Rid yourself of Sparties.
Step two: ????????
Step three: Profit!
November 11th, 2009 at 10:57 PM ^
The guy isn't BSing you, Tate had something on his Facebook saying he had a bad day. He also said he wouldn't be starting, but he retracted that.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:00 PM ^
I'm ok with that, it was the "pot" and "dad pissed at RR" stuff that set it off...you have to call that out if that's all there is
November 11th, 2009 at 11:06 PM ^
so where did the other stuff come from. Must just be Sparty's beating a dead horse (or hockey player).
November 11th, 2009 at 11:20 PM ^
Him not starting might be considered big news, if true. I don't see that being true though.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:24 PM ^
He allegedly posted it, then retracted it. I trust his actions, and reactions, more than your intuition.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:08 PM ^
It's kind of funny/sad what people post on his wall/statuses. It's a great study in internet cajones, especially the people insulting him and coaches. Yes, it's one thing to friend a college freshman and quite another to write some really stupid/belittling shit on his wall. Classy.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:24 PM ^
I'm technically his Facebook friend because I thought it would be interesting. Now I can't go to his profile because every time I do my eyes bleed from the crap people post on there. Some people post to call out those that are posting the crap, but they look ridiculous because they're protecting someone they don't know on the internet.
People, in general are stupid.
November 12th, 2009 at 7:32 AM ^
College athletes' Facebooks are funny to look at but they're an example of internet anonymity and how low people will go when they're not looking at someone face to face. When Donte Green (good riddance) declared for the NBA Draft after his freshman year at Syracuse, his wall was full of "Donte what the fuck you lied how you could do this asshole" etc., etc. Really inappropriate and sometimes threatening stuff. If we were as visible as these guys are, we'd probably want our privacy cranked all the way up and wouldn't accept random friend requests, but then again, we'd be too busy to even think about Facebook. I'm sure that had Tate realized what a firestorm he'd set off, he'd have never posted that comment. But he's not stupid for being a college freshman and using Facebook -- people who comment on his stuff and start flame wars there are.

This is Tate's Facebook status:
Terrible Day!
posted 3 hours ago.
48 rubes commented on the post. One asked if he's going to join McGuffie at Rice. A couple others got the requisite anti-Rich Rod shots in.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:55 PM ^
assholes who friended him in the first place. The innocence of Fuck.Shit.Up has been lost. Which is why Using Web 2.0 Technology To Verbally Assault Strange Teenagers is under review for promotion to 'mortal sin' status by the Catholic Church.

Tate Forcier: Terrible Day!
Brandon Smith: Rough week!!!
JB Fitzgerald: Man the guy upstairs be testin us a lot. Gotta believe he's got a plan tho...
I must respond to help them... what should I say? I feel like telling them to fuck. shit. up. Ideas?????????
November 11th, 2009 at 11:56 PM ^
...that it was a really rough week.
I think that is safe?
November 11th, 2009 at 11:58 PM ^
Sounds like Rich Rod is kicking their ass.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:27 AM ^
To stop complaining about how bad their lot in life is and to make their own lives better. It's called responsibility. When I mess up at work, I don't complain about how bad my day was, I take responsibility for it and impress my boss the next day.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:47 AM ^
it's just giving a status update. It's no different than you telling your buddy or spouse about how rough your day was at work. It's different than quitting or yelling at the boss. It's just blowing off steam, and this is how ~20 year olds do it nowadays.
Think back to college or high school when a professor game a tough exam or a significant amount of homework. Didn't you "complain" with your classmates about how much that "sucks"? It's the same situation, only older people (myself included) freak out on your every word.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:35 AM ^
I think we were better off without Facebook.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:02 AM ^
I'd rather all this stuff stay internal. The team, the team, the team.

November 12th, 2009 at 1:37 AM ^
I think I am the last person on earth under 60 who isn't on Facebook, so I might be mistaken, but it seems from the comments like a number of the guys on the team have posted stuff like, "this has been a tough week." My guess is they don't like losing any more than the fans do (and probably a million times more so) and it probably doesn't help when a bunch of morons who go to class with them and post on the internet and call in lame talk-shows act like the coach they like and believe in is on his way out because losing to Purdue is "UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!"
That or somebody cooked up a bad batch of chicken broccoli bake and gave the entire team the hot poops. Either way I don't think this is anything to write home about.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:46 AM ^
they asked if I knew anything. I told them yeah, aside from the occasional small miracle were just better than you. CLICK
