ESPN - Bracketology
I know its way, way early (season hasn't even started yet early) but Joe Lunardi has his latest Bracketology up. He has Michigan a #4 seed. 7 Big Ten teams. Michigan State a #1 seed. Discuss.

Sounds about right, or as right as it could be based on preseason predictions. MSU is going to be very very good this year.

Hate them... But yes they will be very good this year (grumble grumble)

Doesn't Purdue as highly ranked and regarded they are this preseason just have that typical Purdue feel of a 2nd round NCAA Tournament exit?

MSU has a lot of injuries right now, so there are a lot of question marks. Still, I predict the Spartans win the Big Ten and I guess that is enough for a #1 seed, since it is such a tough conference.

Given the level of competition in the B10, a #4 seed sounds a bit high. I fully expect a similar situation to last year being played out, where most of the teams in the B10 beat each other up, leading a lots of tournament teams, but very few with records good enough to merit a higher seeding. Michigan has 3 chances that would go a long way toward bringing up their seed outside of B10 play. Winning the pre-season tournament, playing Connecticut at home, and playing Kansas on the road. Take 2 out of 3 of these, and I would then see a 4 seed as probable.

I would love a #4 seed, but it is so hard to tell right now. I am very excited to see how we match up with tougher competition.

I completely agree, a 4 seed seems pretty unlikely. I was thinking more along the lines of a 6 seed.

If not, then that's a 4-seed.
I guess you're saying #15 is high, then.
