Just guide me to the time of Norfleet's dancing.

Is that the only time they showed him dancing on TV? If so, that's unfortunate. He was barking, spinning, stepping so much more than that. It was an awesome sight to see someone have that much fun playing a game. Then they put him on the big screen and he seemed to step it up even more. Love Fleetwood

Norfleet's dancing is infectious, they looked like they were having fun out there. How many plays did we run under center? It seemed like only 3-4 to me, not sure if that has been the norm but it seemed like we were in shotgun most of the time and I thought Gardner progressed through his reads better because of it.

I definitely saw growth for Gardner in reading progressions. I thought his accuracy took a hit and his decision-making was on par with always. But making those progressions is key because it got him in trouble earlier in the season. Overall a really good showing for him and I hope he can put that together with making accurate passes too as he continues to grow under Nuss, who seems like a rather competent QB coach (as was expected).

Nice video. I'm even more impresed you could find 30 minutes worth of highlights from the game.

Can someone embed this for mobile people?

Re: the Michigan fan rooting for PSU - I really don't understand that mindset. You want Michigan to lose to PSU so we can fire our coach... So that we can beat PSU?

30 minute highlight reel up in less than 24 hours? Did you sleep last night?
October 12th, 2014 at 3:24 PM ^
I could count the number of hours I slept on one hand. I got back at about 4am.

Massive props for the 4 AM. I was dead last night and had to bail from Pioneer at about 12:30. Worked late Friday and only getting 4 hours of sleep probably didn't help.

Wolverine Devotee indeed.

Appreciated as always. I'm virtually certain it's a lot of work.

Honest question, why do we ever run up the middle on first down? It virtually never works and typically results in second and long. Last night, we started the game with a lot of misdirection on first down, and it was working well. Norfleet jet sweep, five yards. Fake handoff, screen to Smith for 8 yards. Funchess bomb. Then we started with the Smith up the middle stuff on first down and things went to hell.
The last Power 5 game in which our offense looked good was Ohio State last year, and, in that game, we started the game with great variety on first down plays. Tons of fake handoffs and quick passes that just tore through the Ohio State defense that was loaded up to stuff the middle (like all defenses are against us). Why don't we go back to that. Fake handoff, quick slant. Fake handoff, screen pass. Jet sweep. Keep doing this on first down until they consistently stop it. Then try an i-form zone run.
Why are we going away from the only thing that has worked for us on offense in the last 12 months?

It always seems to work great in practice.

It works well with Derrick green on occasion. Plus I liked what I saw from Hayes with green out he should definitely split carries with smith

Has it worked well with Green against a Power 5 opponent? I don't think so. He's had some success here and there, but I don't remember him doing much against real teams on first and ten plays. Maybe once the game has already been out of hand and the opponent is conceding the run to protect against big plays.

I was at a wedding and missed the game. I see now why all the accolades for Gardner. Dude could barely walk.

Why would someone downvote WD's posting of highlights?!?!?!
October 12th, 2014 at 4:35 PM ^
WD gets downvotes automatically from some segment of the population that just doesn't like him. I think he's great, personally.
October 12th, 2014 at 5:25 PM ^
I don't know who these dbags are who downvote him all the time.
Nice work and thanks again WD.

Some people are just born down voted

When Hoke calls timeout, the look on the ref's face is priceless: "Seriously? Someone called a timeout?"

I forgotten what these highlight videos look like
October 12th, 2014 at 6:45 PM ^
This is definitely longer than a typical WH highlight video - his are usually like 10 minutes long. Some of the 3-yard runs may not be necessary for inclusion. And the intro with the Shane Morris concussion stuff - not sure that needed to be in there. I didn't really want to re-live that again.
That said, thanks for putting it together!
