I enjoyed the game. It was a good game bw two avg programs. When expectations are set as they should be and not "This Is Michigan" false expectations, the game can be fun. So, welcome to mediocrity and cheering for guys just overmatched by other guys Michigan didn't want.

My strongs feelings about his job status aside, it is getting really sad when they pan to Brady Hoke at the end of the game. Just put everyone out of their misery, already.

Has any team ever performed as low below their star rating totals as Michigan? This team doesn't even look like they want to play football anymore. What do they do? Keep them up for 22 hours out of the day?

I don't understand taking a timeout to decide if you are going to challenge.  Why not just challenge if you are going to burn a timeout anyway?  Am I missing something?

Not sure which thread to post this in but did anyone else notice that Rutgers had a penalty with 1:43 left in the game which made it 1st and 15, but they got a new play clock? Without the new play clock, they would have had to punt with about 20 seconds left if they did not get a first down. Instead they wasted the clock down to 1:13 left before snapping the ball on first down, giving them the ability to knee it the rest of the game. Unbelievable blunder by the refs and unbelievable for Hoke not to notice it.

They attempted the hurry-up offense. they still snapped the ball with under 5s left on the playclock, but at least they lined up really fast..

Season is too over for me to be angry.  Staff won't be here next September, so it's all kind of irrelevant.

They sucked, we suck, it's talent evaluation for the future time.

I'm sick of 'snowflake' too. Yeah yeah if we were 6-0 it wouldn't be a deal, but 'snowflake' sounds like its for 8 year old girls. For the rest of the season - if we have to have them - lets call them threads of doom (TOD) or threads of suck, threads of so much bullshit or whatever, but no more effing snowflakes!

Hard to get any worse the this moment. Not sure what will happen now. I bet Hoke sticks around the rest of the year. Just not sure what firing him now accomplishes. Unless one thinks he is such a bad coach that the team will win without him. This might actually be the case.

Michigan's defense blitzes and repeatedly gets burned.  Every opponent blitzes Michigan's offense over and over again and Michigan has no answer.  How is that possible?  When I was a kid and Michigan was great every year, cable TV didn't exist and I didn't get to see many games.  (Listening to Ufer on the radio was great, but still wanted to see them.)  Now every game is on TV and they are terrible.  I find myself ridiculously wishing I could somehow reverse this and have Michigan terrible when I can't see them and great when I can see every game.  I still think that reviewed call on Darboh's third down catch was wrong.  But the way things have been going, they would have found some other way to mess it up and would have lost anyway.  And what makes all of this so much worse is that I have no hope it will get better unless Brandon is fired first and I just don't believe they will do it.

I don't see how they beat MSU and OSU.  That means Michigan has to win every other game just to be bowl eligible.

By the way: not at all impressed with Mattison.

I'm happy because GMAT should also be fired. I thought the old man should stay, but he's useless.

Also, I'll be peppers transfers. The talent development at Rutgers is far superior to Michigan and their staff won't be fired every 3-4 years.

Moving the ball well all game.  Getting good pass protect for like the first time all season.

On 4th and 9 you decide to kick a 56 yard FG against the best FG blocking team in the country instead of giving your 5th year senior QB(who has been having a pretty good night) a chance to get a 1st down.

How can you make that call?  It's absurd.

Hoke has had:

  • full support of former players and coaches
  • full support from the AD
  • full support of media (he won't let them in anyway)
  • great recruiting classes

And he's still worse than his predecessor, who had none of those things.
