2009 will be remembered as the year...
that the guy in the first row of the student section in the royal blue snuggie died in a fire. I hope.

Further, you can come back next year.
You should suffer from serious smoke inhalation during the snuggie fire.

Have you ever seen someone who's sustained horrible burns in a fire? I have. I wouldn't wish that on anybody, esp. some young kid who's made the simple mistake of just being a big douche and nothing more.
Show some class, would you?

"Have you ever seen someone who's sustained horrible burns in a fire?"
You mean besides our secondary?

I don't think he actually wants the guy to be burned with fire. Just a guess.

What I really want is Henri to die in a fire.

My heart just melted. Not only because of the picture of the cute otter (bastard that he his...), but also because of the nostalgia of the mgoblog of yester-year.

"Die in a fire" and "kill it with fire" are internet slang. I don't think anyone is advocating the actual use of fire.

2009 will be remembered as the year a struggling UM team saved its season with the second most stunning upset in the history of the UM/OSU rivalry.

Way to say it out loud. Now you just jinxed the hell out of it... I now going to have to purchase some snake oil from the local wizard and mix it with the unicorn hair and dance naked in the moonlight in the reflecting pool in front of MLB to unjinx it and pass my blue book exam that week.

Just make sure and take pictures to post here. If all that shit you're gonna do helps us win, I wanna see it.

The girl is really the only one that deserves to be in the front row. Way to represent. *Fist pound to chest*

While I channeled my rage towards our innocent friend Andrew, my other seatmate Chris decided that Snuggie Man was the voodoo source of our Purdue misery, and as such, berated him throughout the game. His subsequent decree was that anyone who wears a Snuggie is "Human Garbage."

Had we seen the Snuggie guy from our seats, we probably could have blamed him even more than the WAVEFAIL.

THAT FUCKING WAVE ATTEMPT
OH MY GOD
I ALMOST EXPLODED

that 2009 would not be remembered, much like the one before it.

I remember 2007 just fine.

Will be remembered as the year that losing one player - against all odds - turned a season into dust. That player was David Molk.
Think about it: when Moosman moved to center, his shotgun snaps reminded me of Charlie Sheen pitching in Major League before he got the glasses. How many losses did that cost us due to key turnovers in bad spots, huge yardage losses that killed drives, etc.? It put our defense in deep holes that they were ill-suited to deal with.
And that is on top of the stone wall pass protection and run blocking Molk provided to Tate.
The snap problems have been mostly resolved now, but without those gaffes that made us all double over in pain, we might have picked up at least another win.
November 8th, 2009 at 11:34 AM ^
Moosman still launched a few 100 mph snaps yesterday. Tate did well to catch them all.

I would argue that having a merely mediocre defense would have probably been worth probably 2 out of 4 losses right now (out of MSU, Iowa, Illinois, and Purdue). The fact that we kept it close against 3 of those teams while being outgained by a large margin and with a negative turnover margin really speaks to the fact that our offense is still clicking.

UM now featured an offense scoring 35 points per game while the UM defense is essentially a carbon copy of the 2008 defensive performance in every statistical category.
The defense gave up so many big plays (TDs, 3rd and longs), it wasn't enough.
