Grant Newsome has said "I committed to the University of Michigan, not the University of Brady Hoke." So he looks solid for now.

Garrett tore his ACL in late-August. It's surprising that he would risk his Michigan offer by lookling around. Some of the schools that previously recruited him may not want to take a chance on him.

Based on "on field" product this year versus any teams not at bottom of FBS, we should have 0 recruits.

I don't know if I'd say "least". As far as I see it, this season is surely lost, and Brady Hoke's regime with it. To me, those two things seem to be a done deal. I feel like all we have left is the future. A recruiting crater late in the predecessor's tenure helped do in Hoke, I can't imagine another one will do the next guy any favors.

Inevitable. The only saving grace to this whole fiasco would be if someone (might not be Brandon at this point, which is fine with me,) has the sense to fire a lame duck coach before the bowl game this time, thus giving the new guy a fair chance to put the class back together.

If they want to be at Michigan then I welcome them. I'd rather have a "lower ranked" guy who wants more than anything to be at Michigan than some hot shot who shops his talents around.

I might have some eligibility left. I am sure that there at least 13-14 other posters on this board that would suit up for the ole Maze and Blue. If loving Michigan is the only criteria, we would make a Recruiting Dream Class. Of course, at least in my case, we would have to make sure they have a defibrillator handy after I run down on kickoff coverage.

Who wouldn't look elsewhere? They committed to Hoke and a Michigan team that was supposed to be on the upswing. Hoke will be gone at the end of the season and instead of upswing, the program is cratering. They are generally not fans, they're kids who are looking at their future. Under Hoke, Michigan has been where talent goes to die in obscurity.
