OT - Cincinatti stadium
Cincinatti plays an obnoxious cat-screech after EVERY play, just like at Penn State. I don't know if it's the exact same, but it's just as vexing.
Also, it's one of the quietest BCS stadia I think I've ever heard. If I didn't know beforehand, I'd never know they were a top 10 team.

Crowds of 31,000 tend to not make much noise. Also, it's vexing that you spelled the name Cincinnati wrong.

It is pretty quiet. But I like that big brick building at one end of the stadium.

I love Brian Kelly. That is all I came here to say.

Brian Kelly is a hell of a coach. Here's to continued success for UC to at least challenge Tressel's state dominance.

It was a confrence usa stadium a few years ago, give em a break.
November 7th, 2009 at 10:02 PM ^
it wasn't even up to Conference USA standards, or MAC standards.

I've heard more noise at a noon game at Navy.

was that UCinncy fans actually booed playcalling when they called a run play and were ahead. The team has their best two years in memory, they're undeafeted, and they actually booed a playcall. Must be a lot more Jimmy Joe and Bobby Rays down there than I'd thought.

worse than c-usa, it was actually the bengals stadium for a year.

I like your use of the word "stadia" though.

I live in the area, and even the moneyed alumns don't give a crap. They're mostly still pissed off the president ran Huggins out of town 3 yrs ago. If anyone with a big time program waanted Brian Kelly right now, he'd jump fast. He's made public statements about the difficulty of getting fans to games, and now the UC admins are hesitating on the promises they made to Kelly two years ago about upgrading facilities (the practice facility Herbstreit and Musberger keep talking about).
I honestly think that Kelly's going to jump to a big time potential BCS school unless Cincy somehow makes a miracle run to a national championship-- Illinois, ND if they go tits up, Texas A&M, come right to my mind. No comment on Kelly to UMich.

Other than that, I like it.
I don't think anyone cares about Cincy football, either. Begs the question, why the hell is this an 8 p.m. game? Stanford-Oregon would have been a better game.
With ND's loss today and their probable loss at Pitt next week and maybe again at Stanford, Brian Kelly could quickly become the most-hated coach on this blog by next Sept.

I really don't want it to come to that. I don't want to hate BK. but I love michigan football more.
November 7th, 2009 at 11:11 PM ^
What is gimmicky about it?
November 7th, 2009 at 10:31 PM ^
Kelly has no support in the ND hierarchy or boosters who actually matter due to non-football matters. I think more probable is Illinois or Texas A&M, but you never know if ND really craps their pants the next 3 weeks.

Could this be why Kelly didn't even get a sniff from UM and even MSU when he was at CMU a few years ago? Boggles my mind. Must be something in his closet.
November 7th, 2009 at 10:50 PM ^
I was told it was for the racial insensitivity during the whole football player murder thing that happened at CMU.
November 7th, 2009 at 11:07 PM ^
didn't exactly have angels on their team while he was in charge either.
November 8th, 2009 at 12:00 AM ^
his players and instructed them how to handle themselves in the wake of a murder . . .
Good coach. Questionable character. He'll likely never coach in Michigan again.
November 7th, 2009 at 11:09 PM ^
Well, the pants-crapping got off to a good start today.
November 7th, 2009 at 10:42 PM ^
Okay, now they're playing "On A Boat" during a break in the Cincinnati game. That makes them awesome.
November 8th, 2009 at 9:43 AM ^
ted nugent's cat scratch fever - unawesome.

"If I didn't know beforehand, I'd never know they were a top 10 team."
Perhaps if you watched them play the game of football, you could figure this out.

Well since their stadium is only 35,000 it shouldn't be that loud. But Beaver Stadium was probably the quietest I've ever heard it yesterday on tv. Even when Penn State had it close yesterday it still seemed quieter than even Michigan Stadium on tv. I guess the fans didn't really show up.
