Friday PosBang

Welcome to Friday...yea!!!

Secondly we were reminded twice this week of the wider world. We had someone return from a foreign land in which he was glad to just read the board when he could as it was a slice of home. We also of course remembered 9/11. We have a great deal to be thankful for, we get to watch and cheer on a team we love, in a sport we love. Win or lose I support and root for Michigan.

Beat Miami (NTM). Go Blue.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Finally Friday. This week dragged. New iPhone ordered. Football tomorrow with real Chicago pizza that was shipped here. Pumpkin beer. Autumn temperatures. Life is good.

Well, in the past week, I have been without power from Friday night to late Monday, worked the equivalent of an extra week inside one week and even patrolled a circuit or two aside from my own as we were that strapped for people at some points. Needless to say, it was great to be told moments ago - on a Friday, no less - that you're on standby and you can *gasp* do normal work. This was one of the larger storms in the company's history, and while I like the checks, I haven't seen my kids save for 30 minutes in the last four days and I look forward to  weekend with the family and Michigan football.

i installed ours within weeks of buying our home.  hooked up to two 500 gallon pigs of propane.   has come in handy more times than i can count out here in the boonies.

congrats on working through the tough week.  lots of people probably very glad you were slugging it out getting them power.

On a more somber note, today also is Stand Up To Cancer Day.

Hail to the cancer survivors!  Hail to those who are working tirelessly in research labs around the world, seeking cures and better treatments for cancer!  Hail to the healthcare professionals who are helping to care for and treat those afflicted by the disease!  Hail to all the families and friends of those who've been afflicted and those who've been lost to the disease!  And hail to the memories of those who succumbed to cancer after bravely battling this horrible illness.

Even in the unlikely event that you've never known anyone who has been afflicted, and even if you're not inclined or can't afford to make a donation to a cancer reasearch charitable organization, today might be a good day to contact someone who's been dealt the misfortune of a cancer diagnosis and just wish them well and send them love.
