Posbang Off: Two Free Tix to the Victor
The question: Who would you take if you could bring any living human to Saturday's football game with you?
The contest: Answer and whoever's got the most upvotes by 2:30 pm EDT tomorrow wins…
The spoils: …a pair of tickets to this Saturday's football game. Printable ones. Don't know where in the stadium but from the guy who donated them guessing pretty decent.
The fine print: No I'm not chasing you down. I move on to the next guy if you don't respond to email within an hour, or maybe a little longer if I haven't bothered to move onto the next guy yet.
Explanation: One of our readers this week offered to donate the remainder of his season tickets to MGoBlog, and charged us to find creative ways to make sure they find good homes. Yes, I have better ideas than this, but this is Miami, and not even That Miami, and this was pretty last minute.
Yes you can post and not enter. Just say NO ENTRY or something right at the start.

Cpl. Ian Gorman, who recently was honored with a Purple Heart for his bravery and service in Afghanistan. I would love to watch the game with a distinguished Vet!! GOBLUE

The asshole from the ISIS videos so we could group curbstomp him.
September 11th, 2014 at 8:57 PM ^
I'd take Bo, so he could watch both of his old teams...
September 11th, 2014 at 9:01 PM ^
That was my first thought...but the qualification of 'living human' deterred me from posting it.
Still posbanging your post, as it is the best answer (unless the worst of the worst unfolds and causes another heart attack...though it probably wouldn't have a negative effect at this point).

Your mom

I already asked her but she had knee surgery not too long ago and has the second knee scheduled so climbing steps isn't really her thing. But nice thought; she's a wonderful lady.

I would have carried her wedding style around the entire stadium lol. Just kidding buddy I live out of state anyways I was just being a shit head lol. But hey good job on the site I appreciate what you guys do and hopefully your mom has a speedy recovery.

Denard Robinson. Need I give a reason why? The dude was fun to watch in the stands of Michigan's basketball games.
September 11th, 2014 at 9:10 PM ^
I suppose if he goes through with challenge on BHGP, I would take Adam Jacobi but only if I can wear a horse head for the entire game just to make sure he pays attention to the game.

I wish I could take Coach Bo Schembechler. As him being a former player at Miami (NTM) and a coach at Michigan. This I feel would be unique to see him perhaps cheer for both schools. I would love to watch a game with him and feel his passion. I feel like he could get me to run through a wall literally.
Edit someone already said Bo still I wouldn't change my answer

Myself, so I can finally enjoy the game and not feel the people next to me rubbing our thighs together.

....doesn't he have six more years of OSU hoops obligations before he would be free to attend other events?
September 11th, 2014 at 9:30 PM ^
Provided that he were named an honorary captain and allowed to (a) give the pre-game locker room speech, (b) watch the game from the Michigan sidelines while wearing a headset and (c) get to call a play.
Edited to remove the somewhat annoying autoplay ESPN video, but providing the link to the story.

VOTERS! The comment above is worth a look for a posbang.

I believe he was invited to the PSU night game this season, so I can't imagine how excited he is for that.
September 11th, 2014 at 9:22 PM ^
Les Miles, although he might be a little late to the game because of his time management skills
September 11th, 2014 at 10:19 PM ^
If he comes will he stay (and be welcome by those in power)? If so, many on the board in the recent week will support this one.
September 11th, 2014 at 9:25 PM ^
A headset! So I could hear the play calls. O wait

I would take my mother. She has been battling COPD for the last 5 years and just diagnosed with breast cancer (2nd time) and eye cancer. I would like her to be able to see a game before treatment begins since she probably wont get another chance.
September 11th, 2014 at 10:07 PM ^
If you don't win here, can you send me a message through this board? I might be able to fix up something so you and your mom can go to the Minnesota game.
September 11th, 2014 at 10:17 PM ^
Yes, I will reply here again if i dont win. Thank you.
September 11th, 2014 at 10:56 PM ^
If that offer doesn't work out, email Brian or Seth and they can forward your email to me. I'll get you tickets to a game.
September 11th, 2014 at 11:25 PM ^
+All the points.
September 12th, 2014 at 3:05 AM ^
why not do it?
September 12th, 2014 at 3:03 PM ^
Winner. Let me get him his tickets and then i will follow up on some of the runner ups. I know one person below offered tickets and I also have a pair to throw in because it looks like there were three deserving candidates.
September 12th, 2014 at 3:39 PM ^
Will you be emailing me? I just want to make sure I don't miss the email and lose out on the tickets. Thanks.

September 12th, 2014 at 3:23 PM ^
Thank you, and I hope you still get some tickets as well.

He was so upset about Michigan losing last Saturday he wanted to stop watching Michigan football all together. I do not want him to lose his faith in the world.

I don't know his namebut he is in the Air Force and just got back from the Middle East.. I would love to talk football because I would guess he has heard enough about the War.

Give any votes for this guy section 1 to Godwin just below me. Sorry dude ( section 1) but i am sure you would rather be with your family than watching UM beat up another MAC school,,,this guy broke my heart, to have a son who would really enjoy the game but not have enough money to go purely sucks, I wish him the best. Fellow players please forgive me for changing the guide lines but I just had to.
September 11th, 2014 at 9:40 PM ^
I would use the spare ticket for the extra space to stretch out since we all know how packed it's gonna be this weekend.
September 11th, 2014 at 9:54 PM ^
I would take my son. I've only been able to take him to a spring game because it's all we can really afford. He's been asking for years to go to a game and it breaks my heart to always tell him no. If I could get free tickets I could make the rest work itself out. He's had a really hard life starting from being born at 1 pound 13 ounces. Countless surgeries, being on oxygen for his first 3 years,etc... He's 11 now and getting better all the time. He's a fighter for sure. GO BLUE!!

Sorry if this is out of line, but two tickets for the game will cost you $20. Unless you live in Ann Arbor and plan on walking there, won't your gas and vehicle use be more than that ? And it's not necessary, but it's likely you will spend money on something you wouldn't have otherwise, if you go. Either way, I hope you can make it to the game with your son and enjoy it.
September 11th, 2014 at 10:29 PM ^
If you and your son stand at the corner of Stadium and Main 20 to 5 minutes before kickoff and you have your arm on your son's shoulder while your son holds up 2 fingers I am certain someone will hand them to you and tell you to enjoy the game. It happened to me and my daughter vs App st. and I saw many similar situations a week and a half ago.
In fact we were first given a single for free, then a pair. I gave ten dollars to the kind gentleman who gave us the pair and told him to buy his kid a pizza. I then gave the single to a guy looking for one. Lots of paying it forward before the App St game. This weekend should find the same.
Park just off Industrial a couple of blocks south of Colonial on the street for free. 20ish minute walk to the stadium, free tix that make the giver and the givee feel good. This week is a great week for this to happen.

the gate and offer 1 dollar a ticket. I can't tell you how many times I had to give away friends' tickets when I was in school because I litterally couldn't give them away. And I'm sure you can find some non-student tickets for dirt cheap as well.

I was informed by wife this morning that we have a prior commitment for an open house at her job. I would have loved to take my son to The Big House but I guess now isn't the time. If anyone has tickets to a later date though, I would gladly accept them. Thanks and GO BLUE!!
