And a question for those of you who are better versed in redshirt rules than I am: If Bosch's leave of absence takes the entire season, can this season be considered his redshirt year? Or doesn't it count because he left the team voluntarily?

I hope all works out well for Bosch and that his personal issues (i) remain personal, and (ii) aren't too burdensome.

Looking forward to seeing him back on the field ASAP.

The team sure needs him, but healthy and family first.

This is a health issue and he really needs the time away from football and us fans to resolve it. Many on this board have been where you are Kyle. You do you and the arms are still open. Come back anytime and in any capacity but get well soon and focus on getting yourself better. It's all that matters.

not saying this is an issue like will's.  however, it seems like it very well could be, and it would be great to have a guy like will be able to talk to him (and any other players going through the same issues)

There are certain situations that separate Michigan and Hoke (and, to be fair, some other institutions) from other schools (hello SEC). I am sure that his recovery or lessons learned will be paramount as this plays out.

Sad to lose anyone but it is a game and anything that would cause someone to take a total break from it has to be serious. I won't speculate. Hope all is well.

I don't need to know what the problem is, just that a player on my favorite team is in need of time and space to get things sorted out (whether mental, physical, emotional or educational), that player gets my best wishes and prayers. Good luck to you young man and remember, lesser men have been through whatever it is you're going through and made it out the other side, so stick with it. 

Just to be clear, that last statement isn't to belittle what it is he's going through, but to provide hope in what may seem (to him at least) a hopeless situation. NOt that he reads this, but you know what I'm saying.

As one of my former bosses in the military would say, FIRST...take care of yourself and your family, THEN do your job.  Can't do it in reverse.  I sure hope that everything works its way out for the best.

Bad enough to be going through any sort of crisis, but having to be in the spotlight with everyone knowing that you have some issue has got to suck.  Hope he works through it and that he gets the space he needs.
