Tate to Right Tackle

Ok, not really. Insanity would ensue to a level not seen in football since Woody "Falcon Punch" Hayes.

Enough with all the "player X to position Y" threads. I was guilty of it myself recently, but it's getting way out of control. Trust the coaches (i.e. the professionals) to make the right choices regarding personnel.

Also, I have to give a nod to ckersh74 for his comment here: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/gallon-lb-lol-annarborcom

Actually, Michigan will probably need a LT this Saturday since Ortmann will probably sit. Maybe Tate goes there?

OP: I agree with you completely. That was the whole point of my Kovacs to FB post. I trust the coaches to get this right, if anyone is going to get it right.

Tate's moxie will definitely allow him to overcome any size disadvantage he might have in the trenches. Then we can put Robinson in the slot/wildcat/RB position he belongs in and Sheridan can come in and "manage the offense" (which I think means "just not shit his pants under center and somehow the ball will magically move down the field").

Championship!

...but at least a lot of funny imagery has come out of it.

Y'know, this team can still turn Purdue into Pur-don't next week and then pull off an upset agaisnt OSU. That would make it a great year in my book, even though it isn't as I expected.

I would love to see RR come out with a lot of what I would call "reverse tendency" plays and playcalling against OSU, sorta like what Carr did against Florida. RR has to have some "special sauce" on the stove for the scarlet scourge.

Two Left Tackles on the field at the same time???
Think about it. Opponents would have no idea on any given play which one is going to be in pass protection and which one is going to be wrecking crotches.
