Post Your Fantasy Football teams

We're getting into the full swing of the FF draft season.  Curious to hear who you done got...

For all the naysayers, this is decidedly not OT because I drafted Chad Henne.  Joke's on you.

I'm in a 2 QB league, 10 teams.  1st and 20th pick.  I've yet to pick for my single QB league with PPR, and I don't know my draw.

QB - Jay Cutler

QB - Phil Rivers

RB - LeSean McCoy

RB - Chris Johnson

WR - AJ Green

WR - Vincent Jackson

WR - Eric Decker

TE - Vernon Davis

FLEX - Maurice Jones-Drew

K - Matt Prater

D - Arizona

Subs: Chad Henne, KC Defense, Anquan Boldin, Charles Clay, Greg Jennings, Chris Ivory

Team looks good but Matt Prater is out for the first 4 games so you might want to find another kicker.

I have a draft on Thursday with the number 1 pick. Everyone is telling me I am crazy to pick AD because everyone is on the Shady McCoy hype train. I still think I'll go with the closest thing to a sure thing you'll get.

Those were my two options.  Gift and a curse being first...  I'm super skiddish about injuries, so Charles was not an option for me.  I wanted to be mid-first round so I could pick up a top flight QB.  I just couldn't make that pick over McCoy or AD.

I've come to the conclusion it's just not worth picking a QB until round 3. At the end of the day, you can squeeze a reliable 15 or 20 points out of a mid-range guy, or pluck someone off the waiver wire later on. Having a top-flight WR1 and RB1 tandem makes way more of a difference.

I'm with you. Drafting is all about the marginal differences between the between the elite, the good and the average at each position group. With QBs, it just isn't that big (minus Peyton's crazy year last year). I don't like wasting high picks on a position where the 10th best guy isn't all that worse than the 3rd or 4th and in most leagues, there's a competent starter sitting on the waiver wire.

I'm the opposite, but to each their own. I figure you should be able to get two elite guys at their position in the first two rounds and I always want one of them to be a top 3 QB because they typically score the most points, and I'd rather gamble at WR than with what Foles is going to do. When I have Brees or Rodgers I make the playoffs. Last year I did the RB 1st and 2nd and had to rally to get in.

That said, this year could be interesting for strategy, as I think Brady is due for a rebound year and I think Cutler will be a top 7-10ish QB that you can pick up late (don't kill me - I know how crazy that sounds).

Well, I think your draft order and size of the league matter too. I normally wouldn't use a 2nd round pick on a QB, but with a first pick in a snake draft, I might use it at 24 or 25 since I have my stud RB already, IF one of the big 3 (Manning, Brees or Rodgers) are still around there.

Yeah I get the reasoning. McCoy has the potential to have a monster year in that offense, and AD has a new coordinator with a reputation of under-utilizing star RBs. I hate having the first pick for this reason, well and snake format makes it so I don't pick again until 24.

Shady has a lot of hype. He put up big time numbers last year in his first year of Chip Kelly's offense. The system is made for Shady bc he is a nightmare to deal with in space. Plus the Eagles offense will get more snaps than any other teams in the league which means more opportunities to get more points. If you're talking about PPR, Shady should be a clear cut #1 since he offers much more in passing game than AD.

I drafted Chad Henne just to make it on-topic to piss you off.  I figure, as this is a major source of interest, and it also happens to be the time of year that this sort of thing happens... why not?  I'm not posting that I watched the entire series of Breaking Bad.  Or The Bachelor.  This is the exact time of year when this post would be relevant.

i stand corrected. your fantasy team is a "major source of interest" to the entire michigan football fanbase.  also, the other thread about posting fantasy football teams wasn't enough - we needed this.

moar please.

Serious question here...

What made you make your stand on this thread?  This is as relevant to my interests as a Buckeye joke thread, a Michigan bar thread, or an oddly formed Appalachian Spring thread.  Why here?

Obviously, you have no problem with the fact that I bumped another thread off the front page.  You had to go back SEVERAL pages to find another Fantasy Football thread.  So clearly, you know how the "Next" arrow works.

I swear... the level of entitlement I see now.  It's... depressing to me as a human.  Can I ask you... is it THAT HARD TO SKIP A THREAD THAT YOU CLEEEEEEEARY KNOW IS NOT PERTINENT TO YOUR INTEREST?  Did my title not TIP YOU OFF to the content of this thread?  Was there some miscommunication on my part?  Seriously... I want to know.

Can I ask a few more questions?  Do you watch TV at night and turn on the closed captions so that you can seethe as you correct the grammar?  Do you grip the steering wheel so tight that your knuckles turn white when someone turns left in front of you?  WHAT BUSINESS DO THEY HAVE TURNING LEFT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!???!?!

My thread inconvenienced you roughly as much as both of those previous examples.  Please, just admit that.  You have no reason for your crusade.

I did really OK in my draft, 8-team league, so it's not worth posting my Pro-Bowl squad.

Night before the draft, one of the guys mass texts and says "hey, we need to find more teams! Spice up the league!" Ha, well, not gonna happen. That being said, maybe the most parity across the board we've ever had.

I originally thought the title was regarding the team name, and considering I haven't drafted yet, I might as well do that. Can anyone out there beat "Monica sucked Clinton-Dix" for a team name?

My weakness is obviously WR as I only drafted 3, but with 2 flex spots,  I plan to just start A. Brown every week at WR and start 3 RBs.  Freeman and West were at the end too late on the draft board for me to let them sit there.  TE is obviously weak but in a 16 team league, someone is  going to be weak there to start, and that is me,
