OT: 24 Hours Remaining of OT Season - Open Thread
We have 24 hours to get out the rest of the OT threads for 2014, so lets get it out of our system.
But most importantly:
ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL FOOTBALL
Also important: Please do not talk about this Tigers game... Like ever. Never again.
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:28 AM ^
How about those Tigers?
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:32 AM ^
Had no idea the floodgates looked that bad when opened
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:34 AM ^
That awkward moment when I changed the image in my post...
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:59 AM ^
Damn bastard.
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:49 AM ^
Looks like our over paid Tigers are probably going to lose both the division and wildcard. I'm so glad football season about to start!
August 23rd, 2014 at 1:59 AM ^
I will believe Kansas City can win the division when it actually happens. Tigers are going to take home the Central.
August 23rd, 2014 at 6:10 AM ^
I only follow teams that show heart. So I wouldn't know.

who?
August 23rd, 2014 at 10:34 AM ^
This season is really heading in the wrong direction.
That's a shame, given the huge expectations.

Is All Day IPA a good choice for this time of day? Tastes good, but I seem to be lacking some punch.
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:31 AM ^
I love All Day IPA in the right situations. It's a great beer for day drinking on a warm summer day, however, after like 6ish I prefer something with a bit more body to it (like Two Hearted). So right now, I'd probably go for something else.
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:37 AM ^
bourbon? Ok, thanks bud!
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:40 AM ^
When in doubt: Bourbon.
August 23rd, 2014 at 8:03 AM ^
If you like bourbon and you have never had any of these three; make the investment! Not cheap, but better than anything I have ever had. My go to is either Willet's Pot Still of Col E.H. Taylor, but damn these are good uh better! http://www.orphanbarrel.com/#our-whiskeys

AHHH wish I still had some. Had a few twisted teas tonight right after work. Nice and light. Gotta get to sleep though as softball tourney starts early in am. Will participate in the Saturday drinking thread.... The last of the OT season.

Check out these shooters for tailgating. The chicks love them. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=twisted+shotz+party+pack&revid=831688845

IPA beer is simply disgusting.
August 23rd, 2014 at 10:02 AM ^
I only drink IPAs. Every other beer tastes like water now. Plus I can get drunk faster on IPAs.
August 23rd, 2014 at 10:35 AM ^
You gotta branch out more, man. Try something like Left Hand's Milk Stout. That...does not taste like water.
August 23rd, 2014 at 12:14 PM ^
My tried and true approach is to grab something almost at random off the list of Ashley's rotating taps (and to keep track of what I liked in Untappd). Hasn't failed me yet.
August 24th, 2014 at 2:49 AM ^
I try others but always come back to the IPAs.

How much cheese is too much cheese before a date?
August 23rd, 2014 at 6:36 AM ^
If you scour the corners of the Internet, I am pretty sure that this may have been covered in an unaired episode of "Mr. Wizard" back in the day, the ones that were filmed after Don Herbert had a non-so-well-publicized breakdown. It was the same episode, I believe, that had such classic kid-friendly experiments like "Will Your Head Fit Here?" and "Pants Or No Pants: Changes In Aerodynamics".
I may have made this up, but your question intrigued me all the same.
August 23rd, 2014 at 8:33 AM ^
Any amount of cheese is too much cheese before a date Charlie!

All 556 episodes or something like that.
I'm not exactly sure what channel. That's what Google is for.
What are your favorite episodes?
Mine are The Stonecutters, Lisa becomes a vegetarian, and Marge sells pretzels. At least those are the ones I'm remembering at this moment.
August 23rd, 2014 at 6:49 AM ^
The marathon has already started. Today is day 3 of 12. Should be seasons 5 and 6 today.
August 23rd, 2014 at 10:03 AM ^
Mr. Plow is the first one I think of. Love so many more.

This one time, at Cedar Point, I rode the Raptor 14 times in a row. It was so cool!
Ceiling fans are neat. Whenever mustard is put on top of them, it is quite fun. Said mustard goes all over the place and then you have a room that is considered modern art.
One time I saw 76 bulls run across the street; I counted them all.
Whenever I ride my bike to the moon, I make sure to visit the Ark and pay homage to the dead Autobots.

I'm eating pretzels and watching cartoons with my 5 year old daughter. She refused to watch more preseason NFL. What's up with that?
August 23rd, 2014 at 9:20 AM ^
I am on the vodka and tonic diet.
So far, I've lost 2 days.
August 23rd, 2014 at 9:21 AM ^
Tanner McEvoy was named the starter at QB over Joel Stave according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I'd include a link but when I searched for it I got an annoying pop up that I couldn't see how to get rid of.
Rocks Off and Star Star are two of the more underrated Stones songs.
I'm not a bourbon fan (too sweet for me usually) but a guy in my office claims Jim Beam Black is a solid choice for the money.
Do other coaches name starters in press conferences that change as often as Hoke does?
I like our bball schedule, but Ohio State has a similar one. OSU also plays Wisconsin only once and at home. The Badgers though seem screwed.
Glad I got those off my chest. Let's plays some football!

Will be a great season.
