Thanks, Cal, for making me look stupid. I hate you.

Did I overreact here? This ballot is vastly different than last week's ballot with completely new faces in various places, GT ridiculously high—but who do you replace them with?—and carnage at the bottom of the poll.

Texas has to be #1 now after they dismembered Missouri and 'Bama struggled again with a meh opponent, but then 4-10 is basically WTF. And the rest of this is chaos. Please berate me.

U of M in TX

Texas Tech should move down a couple. They struggled mightily against one of the 2 win teams in D1 football that Michigan would be favored against, Texas A&M.

TCU might deserve to be a little higher than 20.  Their only loss is to Oklahoma and they have been very impressive in their other victories.

Maryland, really?!? How about an undefeated Tulsa or Ball State team instead.

Cal has shown tremendous lack of consistency. I don't think beating them is worth a spot in the rankings when you have losses to yikes Stanford and YIKES New Mexico.

I mean, yeah, if U of A had lost to USC and... someone else good, then yeah, beating Cal would just be sorting things out. As it stands though, I think it speaks more to Cal's lack of consistency than any apparent goodness on the part of Arizona.

that's seems a little aggressive on G-Tech.  Yeah they've only lost once, but the two best victories are BC (solid) and Clemson (looking worse each week).  Plus, Gardner-Webb by 3?  I don't care if I was playing QB, that's a red flag.

I also agree with the previous comment on Ball St. and Tulsa.  Not exactly great scheudles, but Tulsa's winning games by 50.  That's gotta be worth a low 20's vote even you hate thinking about the next Hawaii.

Not only is Georgia Tech too high, I think you have three too many ACC teams in the poll.

Also, why exactly is Northwestern a top 20 team?  They've beaten Syracuse, Duke, Southern Illinois, Ohio, Iowa and Purdue and got stomped by Michigan State. When Iowa or Purdue is your best win at this point in the season, that's not a Top 25 resume.

None of the writers or commenters at NDNation are actually people.  They are computer generated by a program that was created by an evil man who likes to see the world get pissed off at insanely idiotic statements.  This is the only plausible explanation for what goes on over there.

A solid record of demolishing bad teams makes PSU #2?

Close wins vs. mediocrities plus a single win vs. a decent team, minus a credibility-shattering rout by USC = tOSU #7?

I would drop both teams 3-5 spots.

Penn State > Oregon State > USC > Ohio State

LOL....there you go!  But, yeah, I think Bama should be ahead of Penn State just based on their prison raping of Georgia AT Georgia....Penn State doesn't have a win like that, that's for sure.

Obviously Cal athletes read your ballot and thought they were the 14th best team in the nation. Nice one.

He cursed us! HE CURSED US!

They seem like a slightly better version of the team they've been for the last 8 years, capable of 9 wins and completely incapable of beating a real team like Florida.

Somewhat the same with OK St, I really wonder about these B12 teams vs. a man-eating SEC defense.

Overall, though, I think the poll is better than most, and the PSU-OSU situation will resolve itself this weekend anyway, if PSU wins @ C-Bus they deserve to be above Bama.

Oh, and Utah needs to go down to #15 or so. No way they beat a Mizzou or LSU in my opinion.
