You should be out enjoying yourself before adulthood starts. Too much time on the Internet young man. Michigan football is forever, your youth isn't.

I have NO idea why you have a few haters out there, but I've noticed you always get negged by one or two morons.  Take heart in the fact that your votes are overwhelmingly positive, and pay no attention to the miserable dorks.

I really enjoy your contributions, thanks very much.

I didn't know Taco was at 275 and Wormley was at 295. I thought Jake Butt looked a little thin at TE last year and Ian being 6'7" and 227 he's gonna look like, as Brian puts it, "a human space elevator" lol

And I'm not too worried about Bunting this fall. He won't be asked to play as much as Butt did last year, but I think Jake was listed at 230 so he's not far off. With Butt coming back from his injury sooner and guys like Heitzman, Williams and Hill available, Bunting won't be needed much.

Where technically sound guys with limited athleticism can be very average players, and that's how I see Heitzman. I see Heitzman starting there from game one and being a solid, average, B1G TE for Michigan who can make the plays in front of him and not be a liability in run blocking. He looked solid in that regard during the spring.

It will be interesting to see if Michigan coaches use Bunting this year as a purely pass catching TE. At 6'7, it would seem he might be useful on third downs. Given his experience at WR, Michigan could flank him out and use him as a big target. Then again, we have a lot more pass catching options than before. Then again, he is 6'7.

I haven't heard anyone mention his name, but am I the only one that thinks he has the chance to play a role this year?  He looked good in the spring game and has decent size, seems to catch the ball well, seems to block well, and seems like a smart guy.

Yeah, this is something that has trended upward every year for a few years now. Indeed, the average of all receivers - notwithstanding likely placement on any "depth chart" for the moment - is now 6'1" and 195 lbs, which is about an inch and ten pounds (as I recall) better than last year. That's some significant growth indeed.

How do we know if they are the most talented if they are the most unproven? I want to believe in the WR core, but other than Funch I am very skeptical. They have a chance to be good no question about it. I just wouldn't be throwing around the most talented label.

Good eye....I missed Devin with that tricky GS listing.  11 it is!
It might be a minor miracle that we've been as "good" as we've been given that our roster depth looks worse than any sanctions short of SMU sanctions.  Alas, I think we're slowly building a monster.
