Did many fans stay in AA to party post-game?

How was the bar scene after the game? Main Street packed? Curious if the fans were mostly from SE michigan?

Considering that, if you look at a thread below, there is a possibility that the University might dabble in such events in the future, it's a very good question and considering the fanbases involved yesterday, I bet that it was a good draw for Main Street, The South U Corridor and the like.

In any case, as one tasked with moderating these threads, I have to say that this is perhaps one of the most innocuous ones in the last 30 days. There actually haven't been many truly terrible ones this summer, but in blog fashion, there have definitely been some standouts in this regard.

This is not a bad thread. It is interesting that Real Madrid and Manchester United played today in Ann Arbor, and those of us not there would like to know what the scene is like.

Yes, this is the opposite of a bad thread.  It's a very good thread.  It was one of the first ones I clicked on.  I was interested to know about the A2 scene, post-match.

What's with all the people going out of their way to neg on something that does not apply to them?  How fucking self-centered can you get?

The rest of the world gets to live its life without your approval.

We attempted to get something to eat after the game and we basically gave up because everything was crazy both downtown and on the west side of Ann Arbor.

And I should mention that the party Friday night seemed succesfful as well since my 15 minute drive home took 40 minutes.

As an aside, I'm going to have to stop hating on the guy as much.

He went out there hurt to please the crowd and that was pretty cool of him.
Edit: though I'd probably be pissed if I was a hard core Real Madrid fan and not actually at the game.

On friday it was pretty packed.  The bars near conors were packed even on the outside into the streets and they had a couple Manchester United banners.

I would say that a lot of new fans experienced Michigan stadium yesterday and the atmosphere was really cool.

I know this blog hates DaveB for a myriad of reasons, but yesterday was a big success. The stadium was lively and had nice touches for the match. It was a marquee matchup and virtually every star short of RVP made an appearance.

Ronaldo gamed it for everyone which was really cool.

I stayed out on the town well into the night. The whole downtown was pretty packed. It felt like school was in session. There were lines to get into most popular spots. Dinner tables for groups were difficult.
And if this is any indication, the line for Ricks was around the corner and well into the alley.
It appeared to be quite a success for Brandon.
