Latwan Anderson quote

Submitted by MGoPacquiao on
In the link Tim provided to the espn article about Cullen Christian's WVU visit, there's a blurb about Latwan Anderson's MSU visit with a priceless quote that you definitely won't be reading in the freep. "It went alright," Anderson said. "But it wasn't what I expected. The academic side of it was cool. But the players weren't as family oriented as some other schools I've visited." (I know this is an In$ider article, but had to post this.)

Five minutes ago I just read an article about State's great chances with Latwan's teammate Christian Bryant. Talked about Latwan a little, but definitely didn't mention this quote. I'd link it, but I don't want to waste my time.

That is a pretty good quote, too bad he isn't picking M. I was at the Glenville/wayne game and Christian Bryant definitely outplayed Anderson but I think Anderson got hurt at the beginning of the game. Not sure on that. both of them outplayed Braxton Miller for sure though and the Talbotts dnp.

Well yes but Christian Bryant played QB for glenville and for being the studbolt that Miller was talked up to be I wasn't impressed. I was extremely impressed by Bryant, he was a freak and a little less impressed by Anderson but not by much. I also mean that Miller threw around 4 interceptions to 1 TD pass and had maybe 15 yards rushing with 2 TDs but both of those were the 2 yard sort. Bryant had a couple TD passes and a INT returned for a TD and a couple rushing TDs of the 40 and 60 yard sort.

I've seen Miller play a couple of times and was very underwhelmed both games. He's an above average junior high school QB, that's about it. I'd take him on my high school team, but I was expecting someone who stood out dramatically, and at least in those two games he didn't. His running was OK, but tentative at times. He's a very average passer in terms of accuracy. Again, I'm not saying he's bad, just that I don't agree with all the hype.

He also said,"visit was okay the game was alright not gone lie to y'all I expected more the night life wasn't to great either so I'm kinda upset...msu fell behind alot I'll annouce nxt official soon", in his facebook status... I didn't stalk I took it from tRCMB. Like I have been saying since day one and got negbombed for, kid sounds like a borderline retard.

How about I evaluate him as a human instead of a recruit... kid is stupid. I don't get why everyone defends him. He assaulted a teacher, his GPA is abysmal, and this is backed up by quotes that are just plain stupid. What do you want me to say? He sounds like an upstanding citizen. For the record the definition of retard: Slang for a person considered to be foolish or socially inept. How does that not apply?

Nigger - Slang: a black person or a member of any dark-skinned people. Faggot - Slang: a disparaging term for a homosexual man. Just because the person fits the description doesn't mean that the slang term isn't offensive. Now I personally don't feel "retard" is as offensive as either of those two words but I certainly can see how others may. I also admit to using "retard" from time to time, and I'm attempting to remove it from my vocabulary, but sometimes the comments here are so stupid that I reply before even thinking. But I know it is offensive and am not surprised when people take offense from it.

I'm not going to touch this, but those words do not come anywhere near "retard" and both have clear definitions (race, sexuality). Retard is short for mental retardation, which should not be synonymous with stupid. At least make sense if you are writing four paragraphs. You make that argument and maybe I'd listen. But, you didn't...

A lot of it has to do with context. In this context, the use came across as incredibly douchey and in very bad taste. If my roommate hits me in the back of the head while I'm watching TV and I call him a retard, that's a different situation entirely.

Wow, that is a killer quote. MSU won't care though because Anderson doesn't live in the state of Michigan, and that is all they care about right? As long as they own state of Michigan recruiting they will be fine right? Oh....

Apparently they left out a big part of Latwan's interview. Latwan also mentioned, "...plus Coach D came off as kind of an uptight douchebag with daddy issues." You can't make this stuff up.
