Only thing i really do not understand is how both committed, and few months later we dont even make ones top 10 and the others top 5.  Something is up here.  Anyone have any inside scoop?

Just seems really odd.  And honestly, i dont give a crap about losing one because i never thought he was that good and was severely overrated.  But ill be honest, the other is going to be a stud.

I'm not surprised, I also think that showing ANY type of running game will pretty much land us Weber. Harris would've been nice but landing the #1 player in the state should be our #1 priority now.

It stinks losing out on a great recruit but when it comes to RB and DBs I feel like we are stacked with talent. When it come to the Run game we really need to focus on the OL because we are set with RB now with the addition of TY. With these guys I would settle for a small crack in the line to run through, imagine a legit hole for them to actually run through.

As for wishing him luck on the field. I don't if he goes to OSU. Let be real about this, we can't wish every recruit we don't get success on the field. In life yes on the field no. (Also no injuries)

We're fine at RB for the time being, especially with the addition of Isaac. Let's focus on fixing the damn O-Line and being able to open some holes for our backs first. If our O-Line plays up to its potential, we could have 2 star nobodies running through gaping holes for 6-8 yard gains every time.

russale2012, I agree 100%. The o-line will be a catalyst for 2014. Call it chemistry, talent, too much youth,whatever.. If the line does not produce then it will be a long year. We could have mike hart, Wheatley, and Timmy b and a run game would still be struggling if we cannot put a helmet on a helmet.

The 2013 season really hurt us. If we won 10 games like I believe we should have, I still believe 3 of the Hand, McDowell, Campbell, and Harris would be blue.

Not a surprise. I don't think it's a big deal, though if we miss on both Harris and Weber, that would not be good. I'm trying not to get too up or down with recruiting, especially with signing day nowhere in sight. Makes you crazy for nothing. We'll get guys and we'll either win games or we won't. I'll save my anxiety for Saturdays (we'll see how well I can adhere to this).

Isaac may be a better back for our offense going forward (power runner).  For that matter, Weber strikes me as a harder runner than Harris, who tends to outrun his slowish Kentucky competition.  Harris has talent, but there is a lot of variance in reasonable estimates of how he will do in college.  He is not a can't miss, ultra-elite athlete like Peppers and Fournette were in last year's class.

As long as he doesn't go to ohio I don't care.  The kid is your typical teenager, seeking attention at all costs.  I mean he put TAMU in his top 5 just minutes after they offered him, yet Michigan is out of the running even though he supposedly grew up a fan.  Best of luck to the kid.  Hopefully he finds where he truly wants to go.

I admit that Harris would have been nice to have, but it is not like the cupboard is bare and it seems we have a good looking shopping list of guys to put on the shelves...see Mike Weber and Kareem Walker et al.

I hope he makes the best decision for himself because he has to live with it for the rest of his life. My gut says that he will regret the decision but may never admit it. The trajectory of this team is still exciting, despite last years record. We will haunt his dreams, most notably Darrin Kirkland Jr.

Good luck Damien Harris

And for a long time know. Better to get this out the way early and move on. No hurt feelings this way. RB prospects are in great standing with what we already have and who we're high on in the future. Good luck to him but also good riddance.

That he not only deCommitted from us first. But now not even including us in his top 5 seeing as he was a life long fan. If I'm a lifelong fan any school is in my top 5 no matter who the coach is or what there records are. Something is not not right w the kids decision.

Michigan w be fine and when his playing days are over he is gonna wish he had chosen Michigan over a state school or a Kentucky type. Our alumni are awesome.

a recruit that commits to a OC.  Also, if he goes to O$$$U,  ... say no more.  He did us a favor.

I TRULY want players at Michigan who WANT to be here and won't let neg recruiting, etc. get in the way.  Good luck Mr. Harris, but also, don't let the door hit you on the ass.

We are STACKED at RB, IMO, and will find another young stud anyway.  We need OL improvement much more than top RB recruits anyway.
