OT - Friday Night Lights
Does anybody here watch the Friday Night Lights TV show? Season 4 premieres tonight at 9 on DirecTV (The 101 is the name of the channel). I couldn't be more excited to see what happens with East Dillon High, and what happens with Riggins, Saracen, and the new characters they'll introduce at East Dillon.
The show is truly one of the best dramas on TV and a must watch for football fans. It really captures the emotions associated with high school football in small town Texas, and once you watch the pilot it'll suck you in and never let you go.

It's the best acted show on TV, hands down.

It will be aired on NBC in 2010, you just have to wait for it...judging by Bill Simmons's interview with Peter Berg, it sounds like a good season.

Love the show, but don't have DirecTV. So please don't post anything about the episodes. I have to wait until it's on NBC next summer.

Or, you can download the shows using bittorrent.

FNL is, hands down, my favorite show now that The Wire is no longer airing. It is difficult to describe to people who haven't seen it just how great and mostly realistic it is as a drama. The movie isn't nearly as good. I've considered trying to get DirecTV just to watch it in its full HD glory (as opposed to torrents or sharing sites bc my laptop is a bit old and crappy).
Anyway, don't post any spoilers. And also- how awesome is Riggins? And Buddy Garrity is hilarious. I love that show.

If you like The Wire you'll like East Dillon's new RB, Vince Howard.

A great start to the season. Only complaint is having to wait another week for the next episode.

I didn't know they would show it on NBC later. Thanks for the info!

I have pretty much missed every episode since it moved to DirectTV. Meant to get caught up over the summer but never got a chance to. Is Riggins still in high school?

If you want to stream the show online, they post it at this website, usually within a few hours of airing (www.sidereel.com)
It has all kinds of network shows, Dexter, Weeds, Bones, Family Guy, and a handy calendar when you add your favourite (yea I'm Canadian) shows that slots them in a weekly view so you know when to watch them.

Thanks for the site. Just watched the first episode of this season and think this is going to be the best season to date. The show needed to mix things up as it was getting stale and the writers have done it beautifully. No way I lose interest this year.
