Big House BBQ Open Thread
to tell Hoke that rather than tell him on a day that is positive for Michigan.
Not from anything said by others, but from posted quotes from father and son-- their choice of words and reading between the lines. I guess if Dad says he's ready to accept his son's choice, whatever it is, we'll have to be too.
EDIT: I could've sworn I refreshed this page before commenting. But Turd got there first and said it better.
I've also heard that he was going to commit to MSU. I heard it on the radio station and I think the show is a homer MSU-type show, but I'm not sure. I'm sure MSU fans will try to spin it as a bigger get than Cole. If only people in the real world were that delusional.
I just figured I'd throw this out there. Cole>McDowell.
Were there any organized event yesterday for these players? It seems a lot were on campus Saturday. What "events" were on yesterday or was it just informal hanging out.
I think its a bit early for People Jones - he is a 2017. OSU looks like they are going to target Hill to repeat the Webb situation. I expect that one to be a long term affair.
Spoke to a CT coach about all of these guys last week. He believes Peoples-Jones is the best out of Cass Tech recruits over the last few years, including Webb and Lewis. Just one source, but very telling.
I'll give you three names right off the top of my head. Dufek, Harbaugh, Moeller.
and raise you 3 Wistert brothers.
LSG - Levert, Sweat, Gill. We just need a couple more legacies to round it out. Does Rob Swett have a son (close enough phonetically)? Kendall Gill from Illinois anyone old enough to remember him? I know I'm reaching...
When Kendall Gill was a rookie, many were predicting him to be the next Michael Jordan.
Sorry, I somehow posted this comment in the wrong thread.
Go Blue. OSU sucks.
(From l to r) Marcus Lewis, Tyree Kinnell, Garrett Taylor, and Darian Roseboro
is it just me or do most of these guys just not look very happy to be there
To me, they look like they are just chillin
Or maybe they'd rather enjoy themselves than have to pose for pictures to appease junkies like us?
And judging from all the photos Sam Webb is tweeting out, they're being asked to pose a lot. Here's one with some smiles:

The guy 2nd from the left who is throwing the sideways peace sign...looks like he's performing a circumcision.
That's exactly the look you want your corners to have when they are on the edge one-on-one
But then they're at the Law Quad.
I just looked directly at Lewis, and even though it's a photograph, I'm pretty sure he saw my soul.
Damnit! Taylor's hat is not Michigan! Decommit watch ! Taylor is going to follow his dreams to play center for the San Jose Sharks!
Concerned that Marcus was giving the wrong impression with that anonymous T-shirt.
I think he wants to commit to Michigan with his dad there. Make it a family thing.
EDIT: About Thompson that is. Hopefully his dad does the right thing and doesn't let him go to MSU.
How is that doing the right thing?
Parents should definitely be involved in these situations, but sometimes the best move is to allow the young adults to make their own decisions.
Your username makes me think you have some personal experience with these matters.
want his son to have it better than he did re UMGradMSUDad. Other way around would be a FAIL
Parents should demand that the kids follow a process, be clear in what they value (with those not being outrageous, like "best party school") and measure and compare things correctly. After that if the kid reaches a different decision than you that's the way it goest
This is damn good by Nike, lol
It's just some jackwagon named Nick.
The jackwagon does have a point. I absolutely despise the highlighter yellow color in the Adidas gear. We need to get back to Nike and classic maize as fast as we can.
However, it would be funny if it was from someone who actually mattered at Nike instead of some Nike fanboy who probably has swoosh tattoos.
And just what recruits might those be?
there may be alot of reasons that recruits pick a certain school (some nefarious), but I would bet a lot of money that equipment brand is not one of them
