Equipment: Michigan to sport adidas CrazyQuick shoes, will also wear White Shockwave socks

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on July 25th, 2014 at 8:30 PM

Two new equipment updates for this season.

Michigan will wear the new adidas cleat/shoes, the Crazyquick. Quite a difference from the shoes we saw in the final two games of 2013.

I posted awhile ago about Michigan wearing the new adidas Shockwave Traxion socks this season. I said they will wear them at home. While that is the case, they will wear the Blue Aftershocks at home but will also don White socks on the road for the first time since 2012.

While I was in A2 today at MDen, I picked up the Blue Shockwave socks and noticed socks next to them with an identical design but White with Blue "waves"(?). While I do not see them on MDen's site or on EastBay who usually has this stuff up before MDen, they will look like this but with Blue "waves".

 Home Shockwave Socks

While these do not look so hot from behind a computer screen, they seem like a toned-down version of last year's Team Speed socks in person. I did a side by side comparison of them both when I got back to the house and these won't look as crazy as last year's.

I'm glad to see the return of White socks on the road.

Nike isn't any better, if anything they are worse.

What if Adidas put "Speed Kills" on the socks with some stupid bubbles on the back?

Nike still puts a ridiculously large swoosh on everything and the same pattern Adidas uses on their socks.  Adidas is fine as long as they pay up.

This applies perfectly right now given the two threads below this one are currently about the Beastie Boys and Star Wars. If Im on a Mich board, I would rather read about socks than those two other items or what someone else is drinking.

Pass over it if you don't give a shit about my threads on equipment.

I think that's part of it - your threads on equipment.  It's like you're trying to win MGoPoster of the year and it can be a bit much.  Kinda like the Christiano Ronaldo thread yesterday.  We don't need threads for every little thing unless it's actually newsworthy or discussion worthy.  Take a break from MGoBlog.  Go run 3 miles.  Actually, those last two sentences are really advice for myself... :)

I'll give you this much - at least when you rush to start a thread you at least actually put the related pics or videos in.  I can't stand the people that are so butthurt to start a thread but too lazy to learn how to embed a video when their thread is specifically about videos.

That was pretty big news for those going. I saw a thread about parking for the game from the day before.

I could've started a thread about the three giant banners draped over the back of the stadium by the tunnel entrance that I saw today. Ads for Guinness and Chevy for the soccer game.

No reason to rile up the board for something temporary, though.

He obviously posts those in order to fulfill his marketing contracts with the apparel companies.  From what I've seen on MGoBlog, doing a damn fine job of it!

Kid's a marketing machine---his newest gig is for Chobani, didn't you know?!   Rumor is he's also interested in marketing and promoting spicy hot dogs and sausages---any idea on who he can contact?

Thanks for posting this. Not only is it interesting, but it's also hilarious to see how many people throw a fit about something that is actually related to Michigan sports. Besides, I'm a socks and shoes kinda guy.

I like this thread. I frequent this site for current events/updates, and it has never failed. Oftentimes I'll kick myself for missing a few days, or god forbid, a whole week because the content will be off the front page.

So, positive contribution Wolv Devo. That said, I want you to go out and get drunk tonight. Talk to people about these socks. Rep (wear) them. Then, post about it.

Perhaps you'd be more interested in the Nike Pro Combat Hypercool Vapor Power Compression Shirt?…

Maybe the Nike Hyperspeed Fly Short?…

Don't want hyperspeed?

Maybe hyper strength?…

Maybe you want some zoom mixed in?…

Oh my gosh, this item is hyperstrong and ultra light (but not hyperlight)  How does Nike do it?…

Maybe you want some shoes that make you think of the moon, and gliding, like gliding on the moon.…

This has pro combat, is hyperwarm and they managed to mix in speed and elite.  Wow, just, wow!…

This is similar but is lite, so you have elite speed or lite.  I'm not sure which is better.  Maybe they could just make a Pro Combat Hyperwarm Speed Elite Lite?…

This has Vapor, but not Hyperwarm.  Bummer.  I mean, they can make Hyperwarm and Speed and Hyperwarm and Lite but not Hyperwarm and Vapor.…

Welp, I've decided I want Pro Combat and Hyperwarm and I can't decide between Speed Elite or Lite so I'll just go with the Max, like Maximum.  How can you get better than maximum?…

Nike please, please make some Nike Pro Combat Vapor Zoom Ultrahyperlightstrongspeedwarmpower Elite Flight Fly Lunar Glider shoes. Oops, I don't want light, I want lite.

I forgot Max, definitely want Max.

And I just found out they have Warp too, so definitely want some of that.…

So here it is, the perfect Nike product...

Guys, Nike is like so much better than Adidas.

keep posting updates about MICHIGAN. I love to see the arrogant bitches complain and whine about uniformz like they are some fashionistas worried about their prom look...get the f* over it already. UM signed an apparel contract to supply and outfit their teams. They also benefit financially from it and sell said apparel to fans. It's far better than the hodge podge crap we had when I was there...came from every source imaginable and half the time it was garbage.

The tone and superiority on this 'board' is growing loathesome anymore. It's like there are protocol police that dictate what can and should be said. Sorry, it's a social forum and while many are indeed 'brainwashed' with the Michigan way...we also bring difference and variety from all reaches and range of life. Get a freakin grip and enjoy football. What I see is a fanbase struggling with mediocrity and focused on NIKE as some return to the glory days...sorry, it's not the damn uniform, it's the fact your golden coach LLLLLLLOYD Carr sold his soul and gave up on the program his last few years and recruited SHIT for players. The program went into turmoil and lost that national attention. It will be a long struggle to return to prominence, but if ANY fanbase can relate, look no further than our basketball success in every aspect. They seem to find a way to make Adidas, Nike, Russel, Starter, whatever

^^ x 1000!

Well said Blue_by_U!

All the "this year or else!" blabbing in here TOTALLY discounts the reality of where Carr and his cronies drove the ship and the state in which they handed over the helm. A hulk that has been run aground cannot be made seaworthy immediately -- especially after the first 3 year attempted salvage failed miserably. To understand where you're trying to go you have to know (honestly) where you've been.

really understood the Adidas hate. Sometimes both giant corporations produce fugly stuff, sometimes good looking. But there's a reason why we dumped Nike, and I still admire what the kids did. To blindly profess loyalty to one over the other. . . undiscerning, to put it kindly.

theyre decent.  i always preferred nike gear like many but thats obviously not an option so whatever the seniors like best i guess.   im a huge fan of the all black kicks (and white laces)  usc and psu typically rock...everything else looks a notch below in my opinion
