Did season tickets arrive today?
I've been waiting with bated breath. After the past few days, I figured it would be another big day today!
:)
Some serious questions since I'm here:
-Any info on when the 3 game packs go out for us suckers who bought them?
-What away games are you good people attending? Any sweet road trips planned? I've got ND and NW, which are easy to do from Chicago.
38 days, folks!
After traveling to MSU last year I think I'm going to take a season off of away games. It was actually a good time, though.
That was one of the most brutal games to watch in my Michigan career. I stopped watching with about five minutes left in the third quarter because I knew that Michigan didn't stand a chance to come back; just an awful game.
At least you weren't in the student section =]
Poor you, being forced to sit there and watch that.
You poor, poor thing.
seriously
Have a very strange idea of "a good time".
JimmyJuans having a "good time" at home.....
LOL
edit: still laughing.
Have been blacked out!
It was my 21st birthday. Let's just say I got over the loss pretty quickly.
I have never been to a road game and don't prefer to go to one, but I'd love to be able to go to the ND game this season.
Definitely go to one! Road games have always been my favorite (though that's changing while not living in Michigan and not attending all home games). There's something great about being the minority of fans and cheering with fellow M fans who quickly become your new friends.
I've been lucky enough to do some awesome road trips (and some reckless ones in college) and would highly recommend getting to an away game!
went to Purdue in 1996. Brutal. Also the fans were awful. Swearing at my 76 year old grandma. I guess it may be different if my team wins, but I'm not willing to take the risk. (thin skinned)
It's pretty laid back nowadays.
The campus and surrounding area is really nice, it's right on Lake Michigan, and you can see Chicago on the same trip. Also, the stadium is smaller so you're a little closer to the sidelines and field. The NW fans are also pretty laid back as you'd expect and don't abuse visiting fans like some other places in the B10.
I'd take any road game over a non rival home game any day.
Four buddies and I are fling into NYC for the Rutgers game.....we did Penn State last year so hopefully we have better luck this time.
The mailman just dropped of my tickets...which pretty much makes this the best day of the month for me (I know, sad)!! As for away games, ND and NW are both on the agenda. Can't wait for the season to start.
Post pics of your table cloth or it didn't happen.
Since I work weekends I can't get to many games this year (low man in my company and I have to come in on Saturdays). I only have tix for Penn State. I bought them off eBay so hopefully the guy mails them to me soon.
I got mine two days ago... They look nice! 8 seats... I feel like I received a packet of gold.
8 tickets? The packet of gold probably cost less.
Haha... but I don't have a big boat so I can afford the 8 tix. I do have a hot wife though so we're even on that front!
Touche'
Al Borges' dad can beat up all of our dad's.
Truly hate money, don't ya?
I went last year, miserable weather, but I think I may go again this year. Easy drive for me from StLouis. Fun times in Chicago too.
I was there. Great place to watch a game close up. My son and I were able to great the players and celebrate with them after. Weather was miserable though.
I live in Maryland and figured this would be a good one to go to.
Yes. Since I am in NC right now I had a courier deliver them to me from AA so I could share in all of the bliss around here
1) Seperate ticket packs are mailed after season tickets have been shipped. 2) Going to ND, Rutgers, & NW.
once in the '70's to see my oldest brother play them, once in the '80's to see all our friends play them, and watch AC run a punt back and hand us the ball. the ND fans were fine then, but things change.
saw mich pound IU down in bloomington in the '80's too. nice fans, no problems. it was the first time i heard a fan base yell 'I-U-D' when we had the ball. i giggled like a school kid.
been to evanston to see NW play, but not against michigan. low-key, decent small stadium, and i always root for the cats as long as they aren't playing our wolverines.
now if you want to talk hockey venues, that is a different matter. i will say playing in columbus wasn't that big of a deal, and i will confirm a prior post that i always thought munn (MSU"s arena) had the best ice besides ours.
Nope but I've heard that M jerseys are selling like hot cakes in Ohio. Also there's been some nasty business between a former coach in the state of Texas and five hookers. Allegedly.
on Monday.
along with season tickets to another cultural event. There were about $2500 worth of tickets sitting in my mailbox yesterday. Thankfully I live in a nice neighborhood, but it was a revelation.
Being in the student section for the football game was rough but I got my revenge in the student section for the basketball game.
I got mine...tomorrow.
Road games. Indiana 2010 NW 2011
More importantly, who's turn is it tomorrow to post a thread regarding season ticketing arriving? Then we need someone else to ask about the ticket packs.
We need to ensure that we have our resources scheduled accordingly.
As in, mine arrived yesterday
Thanks for making me smile.
I can't wait to raise hell in EL and CBus.
And I'm really not too concerned about it given the crap schedule. I'm trying to get hyped for the opener, but I just can't yet. Normally at this point in the summer, I'd be in full countdown mode. Anyone else feel the same way?
My tickets arrived two days ago. Pretty much feel the same way. Just can't seem to get excited for this season.
