Tuesday night Drankin thread
I know it's Tuesday night... it's the offseason, not a lot going on football wise. Decided to get a mix and match six pack at my local beer store and relax for the rest of the night. I got four founders Dirty Bastards, Broken Promises by Greenbush Brewery (wheat IPA) and Hop City Brewing Co. HopBot IPA. Question is...What are you drinking?
Water
Time to peruse the liquor cabinet and weigh my options.
I've heard good things about Greenbush Brewery, but I've never had anything from them. Good stuff?
Greenbush Brewery is pretty good... their Double IPA (name escapes me) is very good IMO.
I'm a fan of double IPAs so I'll have to look into that, thanks.
They are a great place to visit without all the FIPs (Fricken Illinois People).
fellow SW Michigander!
I'm drinking Bud Lite Mango-ritas. I hate major beer brewing companies, but these things are fucking delicious.
Do those Mango-Ritas only come in those little cans?
I can't speak for the Mango-Ritas specifically, but I've seen 24 oz Beergaritas.
the jeter juice

oberon
Bud Light
(Lime)
((Leftover beer from when my female relatives were in town))
(((It's not gonna drink itself amirite?)))
Have a cream ale conditioning. Drinking a porter aged six weeks, brewing and Amber this weekend.
Stella Cidre while watching Michigan on Big Ten Elite
Picked up some Devil Dancer, but I'm only having one tonight. I'll do my best to save those.
IPAs...Drink Fresh!
Rob, yep that's what I was referring too! Thanks! Great Beer.
Bell's Black Note currently chilling for when I finish this damn proposal.
Just get it over with and ask her, fergodssakes.
Not that kind of proposal. Don't think my wife would approve.
Don't know about you, but it's "proposal season" for those of us who live in the world of Federal contracts. Got to spend those tax dollars before September 30. I've been writing and budgeting for weeks.
We live in the same world, my friend. Good luck! (But not too much if you're a competitor)
Jared, did they still have it at the cheap price?
I actually checked out my local store I go to here in Petoskey and they had it for $18.89. Quite pricey, but I would've spent more than that in gas to go to Boyne City. Thanks for the heads up that it was available up here though!
Beautiful country up there man, I was born in Petoskey and spent my early years living in Boyne City.
Small world.
It's a Bavarian evening: Weihenstephaner Kristal followed by Vitus.
I have a nice alternating mix of Hacker-Pschorr and Franziskaner Weissbier going right now. Seems about right for a sort of September-ish evening in the middle of July. I am actually sort of alternating between the All-Star game and a few other things right now, and as everyone else seems to have turned in a bit early this evening, well....I am not complaining about the current state of things.
Because I'm actually sick and feel like death.
and drinking a Two Hearted Ale.
God bless America.
Wife and kids left for Ohio for a couple weeks, so I'm bach'n it up but without the drinks. Too much of this thing called work to do.
good gracious man, call the cops! somebody save them!
That's where we're from, so to visit family, we must go there. Unfortunately.
Cabby with the homer.....good 1st inning.
2-RUN SHOT!
AL leads 3-0 already in the top of the first.
Had a kale-fruit laced smoothie before leftover ribs (smoked Sunday...purposely non-competition-style, 5 hours at 225, foiled for 1 hour at 250).
Then delicious water. Don't drink alcohol during the week.
I have been on Short term disability from work due to back surgery. I received a letter today separating be from employment. So I'm drinking some Corner Creek Reserve Bourbon. Cheers to corporate America!
Sorry to hear that, that sucks. Raising a glass to you and hoping for quick recovery and a job with a better firm.
Sue the bastards
I'm not sure if Black Socks was joking or not, but are you sure your termination was lawful? This is certainly something to evaluate. Meeting with an attorney won't cost you anything, and it might be able to get you your job back, or at least get you some $$$ to hold you over until you can find another job.
My FMLA had ran out and I won't go back to the doctor until September. So they "separated" me from my employment and are filling my position. I live in Indiana and it's a at will employment state. Attorney said that they can fire you.
Got a bottle of Amstel Light left over from Saturday: before a few of the World Cup games I tried to buy beer from the country I was supporting in the game. Mmm, tastes like third place. Need to get some good first place German beer though.
Augustiner Edelstoff. Do it.
Since little Mario Goetze is from Bavaria and plays for Bayern Munich, Augustiner would be a fine choice. I am partial to the Weihenstephaner line of wheat beers, the Bavarian state brewery. Amazing what a Bavarian brewmaster can do with yeast variety alone.
And there is always the God of wheat beers, Aventinus.
New Holland Beer Barrel Bourbon. Damn good.
Not this again...
Had a Barq's Root Beer to wash down my chicken gyro. Yum!
Vernors ginger ale.
Had a few random pints at Petoskey Brewing tonight now sipping on my growler of Minds Eye PA. Not my favorite there, but it works.
Dr Pepper. It has 23 flavors.
