OT: Tim Howard Saves Michigan Sports Photoshop Thread

Submitted by BlueBarron on

Earlier today this came across my Twitter feed:

...and I couldn't help but think "damn, where was Tim Howard when we needed him?"

So here's a photoshop re-enaction of Tim Howard saving Michigan when we needed him most. Feel free to post your own.

Because UGHHHH

Intercepting the interception

Making the right block.

CRABLE NOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm sorry if this brought back dark memories. We can also make this a drinking thread if you feel that was the case.

Not to adept at photoshop but I imagine Vincent Smith's helmet might still be on his head if Tim Howard were involved...and you're right, this thread could get depressing.

I want to see Tim Howard blocking whatever Buckeye (Evan Turner?) made a shot from half court to end Michigan's basketball season in 2010 during the B1G tourney.

I'd like to see what would happen if a real athlete played goalie.  KD, Lebron, AJ Green, Calvin Johnson.  Guys like that.

I looked it up and Tim Howard was a nice little15 points per game scorer in high school basketball.  There is really no reason that a country with 300 million+ people should be losing to a country like Belgium other than our real athletes aren't playing the sport.  Do you really think if you tested reaction times of Russell Westbrook and Tim Howard they would even be close?  I'm just thinking that if some of these receivers, DB's, point guards etc. started playing soccer at an early age we would be dominating the World Cup.  Seriously, imagine Charles Woodson as a soccer player.  6'1" 210 lbs., with speed, strength, and coordination.  Think about Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, Lebron in goal compared to frickin' Clint Demspey and all of the other so called athletes on that team.

You're right, but I'd rather have them playing basketball, personally.  You have to pick and choose.  I'm happy for all of those countries that love soccer that they're also good at it.  I'd rather be the best in the world at basketball.

And I like soccer.

Sure, some of our other athletes could be soccer players but good at basketball != good at soccer. We're probably just having guys in other sports (like slot ninjas) who don't have top end potential in their sport as high as they might have in soccer

Then again, soccer is still the 5th (at best) most popular professional sport in the US. Until Americans care about a soccer team other than the USMNT, we're going to be second rate

That's some funny shit...in random news. I just bought my Penn State ticket for 135 on ebay

but isn't this just going to result in a thread full of all my most painful Michigan sports memories? That seems unfun. We should do this for MSU, OSU and Notre Dame.

Like Tim Howard could save Roy Roundtree from catching the game winning TD at UTL1. Or Tim Howard could keep Courtney Avery from getting that clinching pick in the 2011 OSU game. That seems a lot nicer

I reviewed this thread, and I am SHOCKED no one has made a pic where Tim Howard interferes with the Dave Brandon hiring process....like prevent him from walking up or something. Too lazy to make my own
